Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
That's right, I forgot that they seem to have things set up for Namgi to reform himself and set his sights on Ilhong without the evil intentions that he had before. Were it not for their daughter, I'd wish that Ilhong had the strength to kick him where it hurts. She is a success on her own now and I'd still rather see him not get to win. How many other poor, trusting souls has he cheated and humiliated in the past?
I'm sure that the lawyer will end up with best friend, but he's a fourflusher too, playing both ends agansit the middle, so I'd like to vote him off the island without any parting gifts. That horrible witch that got Ilhong fired doesn't need to be getting a job with a company that is certain to be a success. (Where is "Miae" from Likeable or Not when punishment is being meted out on this show?!!! ) Maybe they can get stinker lady er a job cleaning the company toilets.
I would think that the oldest daughter is a first year high school student, about 14, given that the story jumped up seven or eight years and she seemed about seven when the little girl played her. The youngest girl seems more like five than six or seven, but I guess she's close enough for tv.
Designer guy is a total jerk thus far, he reminds me alot of Yunhou ("JJJIIIKKKEEE") from Pure in Heart. I'm hoping that Aeyong will make him earn his way to her heart without letting him off too easily.
So many in need of detoxifying. Let's hope that our innocent woman has her hazmat license.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
Did I miss somehting? I did miss Wednesday night episode. Is Namji back in the picture? Is he coming to mooch off of Il-Hong like her crazy MIL?
With Designer guy constantly getting into it with Il-Hong, I think the writer is leaning towards a relationship with them. Oh well. Looking forward to Monday.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I see Ilhong's friend and Designer guy as a better match...they both can dish it out and have the confidence to not be trampled by the other
If Namji does return to Ilhong's side, it's a toss up if (considering her new life and accomplishments) she will stick with cultural values and marry him because of their child or just allow him visiting rights..either way, I don't see the daughter warming up to him very quickly.
If by any slim chance Ilhong gets together with Mr. Seo then their positions with Sarang would not change...she would still be the sister-in-law to them both and if Ilhong's MIL marries gramps, she would remain Ilhong's mother-in-law twice over. does that work in Korean society?

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
Mr. Seo seems a little old for Ilhong (by Korean standards). Even though he has a crush on her, I'd be surprised if a mutual romance occurs between them. Ilhong is very grateful to him for saving her by giving her a job and a place for her family to stay. Additionally, he is the one who made the way possible for Ilhong to develop her own very successful business. She feels greatly indebted to him and will try to save his company, no doubt.
In my heart, I wish she would get together with him, however. He's a sweet, hard-working, conscientious man. He might really blossom with a woman who is also sweet, hard-working, and conscientious. He's been pretty much reamed out by those two old hags, nags, and bags he's lived with for 20+ years! Look at their effect on the strong, fiesty father! They nearly killed even him. What chance did a gentle soul like Seo have?
Well, one thing I respect Mr. Seo for... he's taking a stand against his wife for her divorce of convenience. Since she divorced him on paper for such a low-down reason, she needs to live with the consequences that they are... ahem... divorced! Good for him.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I agree completely with you on that one, nchristi. As things stand in the series to this point, Mr Seo is the only one of the three who even deserves a chance to be in the running for Ilhong's heart. Both of them are already warm-blooded and compassionate souls and it makes better sense when like stays with like. The two younger men have shown me nothing that I'd find admirable although I'm certain that Mr. Gigolo will eventually do an about face and begin reforming and amending the horrors caused by his past and present person, and I'm also fairly certain that the reasons behind Designer Jerk's persona will become revealed. Like the "Iceman" from Pure in Heart, he was probably done wrong by some siren from his past and will become melted by the angelic qualities of our "innocent woman."
As to her "doing just fine without a man in her life", I'm certain that there are parts of her person, both physical and within her being, that would screamingly beg to differ! She is still a young, vibrant, openly loving person who is far too young are far too enamored with all of the fruits that life has to offer to shut down the office and move to a desert island.
I like the suggestion that Ilhong's friend be the one to straighten out "Mr. Designer Guy." Not they they make a great match, but he needs a good kick in the pants and I'd hate to see her end up with a lawyer as dim-witted and easily turned as guy who seemingly works for and believes last words he's heard from nearly anyone who speaks to him.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I don't know how far everyone else is.... I just saw episode 86 today.
I've been watching Innocent Woman for several months now on KBS World and I'm having a hard time with this drama.
For a while I thought this show should be called "Stupid Woman", and after this week's episodes I believe that's the correct title.
I've kept in mind that there may be some culture differences, yet I still don't get how this woman is so understanding and respectful to those who are just nasty, rude, mean, while there are those who have taken complete advantage of her kindness and good nature.
I'm not a mother but I am an aunt and I have lost my cool several times when I felt someone didn't treat my niece and nephew right.
I've only seen Ilhong get angry once....

That is when she found out that Namgi was blackmailing her mother-in-law.
She cracks me up when she says she's going to put her foot down, yet she hasn't so far.

I don't understand why Yongchen uses the same lawyer his wife has acess to. He knows that Mr. Min lied to him before. Why hasn't he gotten a new lawyer?
He also knows his wife Munja and Deokhi his daughter are trying take all of his money from him.
After finding out that they knew that the paternity test was false, and that Sarang is really his daugther, I'm suppose to believe that a smart man who was CEO of a corporation is too stupid to hire an attorney or hide anything without his wife and daughter knowing about it.
Ilhong is just as bad if not worse, she has gone through so much. Why does she just sit there when Deokhi and Okbun threatens to take Sarang away from her. Why does she sit there with tears in her eyes like a bump on the log. She does have the legal right to have Sarang!
I also can not believe that she still doesn't supect that Namgi is still rotten. She hasn't told him that he is the father of her daughter, so why would she trust him at her company and why does she still defends him.
Okban got ripped off by Pretty, and she also lied about who Sarang's father was. So now Okban is going to trust this woman to sale her apartment?
Am I crazy or is the writers of this show crazy? Are we suppose to be cheer for someone who won't cheer for themselves.
The best thing about this show is Ilhong's best friend and Seung-pyo (eye candy is always good).

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
OK. I'm still watching. Eventhough I missed all of last week. Anyway, I must admit that I have downloaded some of the episodes and am hooked. I will say no more.
Yes, maybe it should be called stupid people, but I still like it.
