Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
The sweetness of "Ilhong" is what most draws me to this series. In each drama that I've seen, it has always been this type of character that pulled me in ands had me rooting for them until the end. (The truth is, I've never quite gotten over "Gukwha" from Pure in Heart and characters like the one played by Im Soo Jung in MISA, Kim Eugene in Really Really Like You, and Gong Hyo Jin in Thank You and Hello My Teacher, among others are, for me, extentions of her. ) A long hard day fighting the regular wars has me wanting to see a struggle in which the good "guy" wins. They don't always win like I want them to, but the point that needs to be made, gets made.
"Gukwha" as Goo/Ku Hye Sun
Im Soo Jung as "Eun Chae" in I'm Sorry, I Love You aka MISA
Kim Eugene as herself
Gong Hyo Jin in Thank You

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I really dislike Il-Hong's MIL. Dispite the fact that she (Okbun) is a liar and a cheater she looks down on Il-Hong, who sometimes is not the brightest light bulb, but gracious, caring and giving.
I can see Il-Hong is going to give that Namji another chance to stab her in the back and rip her off.
Some lessons are never learned.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
I agree with nsheldon, I don't see any change in Namji (notice how he was able to get on HG's {Ilhong's oldest daughter} good side by reminding her of the trip they took to the amusement park...steering clear of the fact that she and "little octopus" ended up in the children's center after the skunk impregnated her mother and left the family homeless and destitute. He's going to have to cross a broken glass desert barefoot to bring Ilhong water befor I can think about forgiving him!
I love Ilhong's friend! She actually would cross the desert for Ilhong and her "family." She was willing to take a beating and ready to give one out, (not in the insane, jealous, stalker, psycho-b*%#! type way that Miae from "Likeable or Not" is ) but, as a true protecter of those who need protecting. I just wish that she had another option than "Mr. Koh" (his character from Pure in Heart) who has always seemed so gross to me.
Speaking of gross, no wonder the old coot ends up getting those re-occurring strokes. Who sits and sucks the contents out of that many cholesterol-laden eggs in one sitting on anything but a bet? Who does this guy think he is...Cool Hand Luke?!!

I like your scenerio, nchristi. I'm pretty sure that this is where we are headed as the main triangle characters are basically the same, with similar back stories, as those in Thank You. There's nothing like the constant stream of deja vu the permeates the world of Korean drama. Each road that lies ahead has been traveled many times before

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
OMG last nite's episode was so good! First, I'm confused by Namji. Is he still a leech/con-man or what? He seems so genuine in wanting to make up with Ilhong but then he goes out and gambles all the money away that he tried to give her. Since she refused the money I suppose it was his to do whatever with, but it also showed he hasn't changed.
But my favorite was the dinner that Ayeong, Designer G, Ilhong and the other worker had. Ilhong drank too much and Designer G was getting irritated with her. Ayeong is doing everything in her power to make Ilhong look cheap, desperate and shabby.
When Designer G can take no more of the table talk, and Ilhong's drinking, he gets up and goes to the restroom. Ayeong takes this opportunity to make Ilhong even drunker. The worse Ilhong looks in DG's eyes the happier Ayeong will be.
But that all backfired on Ayeong. DG decides he'll have to take the drunk Ilhong home. And the ride home was just great!!! Ilhong is passed out and her head is flopping all around. DG finally (and gently) pulls her head towards him and she sleeps with her head on his shoulder until they get to her house.
Then DG has to quickly put his hand out to stop Ilhong from hitting her head against the window. Oh, and also when her head was first flopping around, DG actually put his hand up to cradle her head. He's must have a hidden sweet/gentle nature....
Namji is drunk also and waiting for Ilhong. DG has to come to her rescue once again and slugs Namji to keep him from harrassing Ilhong. Then DG just stomps off. Later, in his apt he is irritated and frustrated with Ilhong. Why does he care about her personal life! He can't understand why he is wasting his time even thinking about her. Yet, he can't get her out of his mind.... Love it!!! LOL
Next we see DG and Ayeong having dinner. She is doing and saying anything she can to discredit Ilhong to DG. He isn't buying it and tells her SHE is the one that is trashing Ilhong. Then Ayeong proposes to DG. I sure didn't see that coming!! If he gets enough pressure from his uncle and Ayeong's mother..... YIKES...
ALso, I don't think DG wants to be interested in a woman who has three children with different last names. On paper Ilhong doesn't look too good. But DG is getting to know her and sees that she is a good person and she is talented and hard working.

Re: K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
Namgi is a failure at everything. Even being a con man! He scammed his girlfriend out of the $20K to get on Ilhong's good side in order to get access to her money from her furniture business. But he goes and gambles away all of it.
Well, here we go with Ayeong and DG. He looked as though she struck a chord with him when she made her proposal sound like it was only because her parents want it (not that she likes him, cough, cough...). It would be a "contract marriage." I guess that means neither would have any expectations of the other in the emotional department... just an arranged marriage to satisfy all the parents and society.
On the other hand, while DG might consider it, he has been in love before. Maybe he thought he would never love again after her death, but the embers are beginning to stir from his contact with Ilhong. So, I can't really see Designer Guy going through with a hollow, arranged marriage. But I can see him using Ayeong in a "dating" arrangement to get his parents' pressure off his back. He'd probably think Ayeong would feel the same way and not get hurt.
Interesting new twist that Namgi has piped up saying he's the little girl's father. Guess that will get him in the house, into a relationship with his daughter and make it nearly impossible for Ilhong to get rid of him. Liz Taylor will soon remember who Namgi is. That should add some interesting fuel to the fire. Especially when everybody finds out that Namgi really is the father of the girl.

K-Drama: (The Innocent Woman)
The correct title for this soap is "The stupid Woman"
Ilhong is so kind and pathetic she is going to have a lot of problems in her and her children's life.
Here we go again. They are making DG fall in love with Ilhong. It just like Pure Heart and the one before that
(Suky & Jongnam). These dramas are so predictable.
