LOVE Jaera...she's SOOO cute & such a "breath of fresh air" emoticon And I like her with Jinho emoticon The scene with Jinho breaking up her date & dragging her out of the restaurant was great stuff emoticon

Get a really bad feeling that Sinho is going to break up the wedding plans for Dongho & Bori and can't believe he contacted Bori's parents behind her back? Also, can't believe that Sera has given up on Sinho?

At least, it looks like Inho's dad is finally going to give in and allow Jeonseol & Inho to get married!!

How many more episodes left?

Re: K-Drama: 내사랑 금지옥엽 (My Precious You)

Maybe there are just too many dramas going on simultaneously these days—my interest in this one is difficult to keep alive. In the past we only had a small handful of them but now it's like a flood.

Well, what's been happening with Sinho, Bori, and the rest of them? Looks like Sinho and his family's tactics of just showing up and acting like they are the family is working. Dongho is being pushed out of the picture—the only tie to him that remains for Bori is that she is grateful to him for all that he did when Sinho dumped her. She is a loyal person and has promised Dongho that she will marry him and go to the States so it is not easy for her to cut him off.

They went to the government office to register their marriage certificate, also to register the baby's birth. Dongho officially put his name as the father. Bori didn't like that, but didn't say anything. Sinho came along and tore up the paperwork before it could be completed. Dongho rustled up the paperwork again, but now Bori is uncertain and wants some time to think it all over again.

After this last episode, I'm positive Dongho is a goner. He mentioned that he is not a Korean citizen. He is an American, so that right there is going to kick him out of the picture. Sera is finally getting out of her severe depression over Sinho. She went out to a karaoke with her family and seems to be rather happy again. So that gets rid of both Dongho and Sera.

Dad finally gave his approval for Inho and Jeonseol to marry because EX-wife has given up and become a self-sacrificing mother. The big cliffhanger is that the parents are meeting with JS's grandmother. Since Grams hates Dad, we're waiting for those fireworks.

Oh, almost forgot. Sinho has written a letter to Bori's parents. I presume he told them about the baby. He planned to take Bori and the baby to her parents' home and force her to cement the deal as family with him, not Dongho. He has a lot of nerve taking those actions when it is up to Bori to tell her own parents and make the decision for herself.

So far, Dongho has acted very properly towards all. From previews, though, it looks like he's going to change and try forcing the issue with Bori. This will make him into a villain and the audience can once again root for Sinho instead. Sigh... This drama wears me out.

Gotta agree with you. Didn't realize it was feast or famine in the K-Drama world. There are so many good dramas on right now. This one would fare better if it didn't have such competition. Its' certainly lost its luster. For a while I thought it would break new ground with the Sinho/Sera/Bori/ Dongho story, but I think you're right. It's going to follow the formula and poor Sera and Dongho will be left out in the cold.
I don't even know if I'll continue to watch.

My Nickel's Worth.

That's the perfect expression, Adwatcher.

Episode 49A (Sat)

Insun saves Ilnam from the fateful marriage meeting with Granny by calling him out of the room before Granny arrives. Together (on the proverbial rooftop) they come up with the idea to call the room and say Ilnam has a work emergency and had to leave.

Jinho delivers milk to Jaera standing on her corner. Her parents are out shopping so she sneaks him into her bedroom to give him his special reward. She has made large stuffed dolls, one with his photo on it, the other with hers, explaining that Jinho can use the doll to sleep with so he can dream about her. She will do the same. The parents unexpectedly return home (shock, shock), Dad goes into her room to see why she isn't answering him. He does a bunch of super-painful reflexology on Jinho's be-socked foot (Dad can't recognize his daughter's foot from a guy's???), and the game is over!

Sinho calls Bori and wants to take her and the baby out for the day. She says she is busy. He goes to a pastry shop and buys Bori's favorite desserts, along with a bunch of red roses.

Bori is leaving with Doyun to go to her hometown until her visa is issued in a couple months. She wants to go with the baby on the bus but Insun intercepts her in the entryway and insists that Dongho drive them instead. Insun brings out all the letters she sent to her children while she traveled the world—letters that she either never mailed or that Ilnam rejected. She's trying to get Bori to understand how a parent suffers so deeply when deprived of their children, so please understand Sinho, change your mind and forgive him. Bori says "I'm sorry." She also says there is nothing to forgive Sinho for. She is the one who made the decision to leave him and to have the baby. (Sinho had resigned himself to marrying her and taking responsibility for the baby, but became so stressed out he was hospitalized, so Bori left him.) The only thing Sinho did wrong was to "stop loving me."

Sinho shows up at Ilsun's with the cake and flowers. She tells him Bori left for her hometown. Sinho is afraid Doyun is gone and runs upstairs. He sees the empty room. Worse, Bori has left behind the gifts he gave to his son, the teddy bear, the robot, etc.

While Dongho is driving Bori and the baby, she asks him to stop and let her out so she can take the bus by herself to her home... she has already reserved the ticket. Dongho pulls over and gives her a last piece of advice: Don't change your mind because you feel sorry for Sinho. He's acting attentive now but he will revert back to his old self soon enough. Big mistake on Dongho's part. Any criticism of Sinho only makes Bori defend him. She got her hackles up and told Dongho never to mention his name again. With her mouth she told him she didn't care about Sinho, but her eyes said the opposite.

And that's where we are. Bori is on her way home, alone with Doyun. It's looking worse and worse for Dongho. I do think we are seeing him slowly morph into a more possessive, angrier guy. And of course, we are seeing Sinho changing into a more sympathetic character.

Episode 49B (Sun)

Ilnam goes to see Jeonseol's Grandmother again. She throws him out again. The kids tell Jeonseol that Inho's father visited Grams today. JS asks Grams what is "Jang's"name: Jang Ilnam. He calls up Inho. What's your father's name? Jang Ilnam. Jeonseol is horrified at the thought of Inho's father being the killer of his own father.

Sinho mopes on his bed, tells Inho he's going to give up on Bori but will go to her hometown and see Doyun one last time—even if they throw him out.

At work, Sinho's replacement encourages Sera to go to Africa to help her former advisor. A good place to forget all your troubles and devout yourself to helping others.

Sera's father takes the whole family to a "Ropes" camp where everybody does climbing and stuff you wouldn't normally do to build self-confidence. Dad is encouraging Sera to forget about Sinho and go on with a new life.

Episode ends with Bori climbing the steep stairs to her parents' home, carrying Doyun. (She doesn't know Sinho has already sent them a letter about the baby and that he's the father.) Mom is happy to see her. Dad has a sour look on his face and stands in the background. The End

Sinho should just let Bori go and start life with Sera. He could still be a father to Doyun from a distance.

I'm assuming this drama is coming to an end...honestly, one of my favs...but I don't like where it seems to be heading. Bori & Sinho and Jeonseol leaving Inho because of the revelation of Inho's mom being responsible...indirectly...for Jeonseol's dad's suicide.

Perhaps, next weekend will be the final episode??

This drama was extended to 54 episodes. I haven't watched this past weekend's episode yet, but by my count it should have been #50. If that is correct, the drama will end on September 27.

Re: K-Drama: 내사랑 금지옥엽 (My Precious You)

I'm a bit surprised that Jeonseol wants to stay with Inho, given his reaction after he found out about his dad & Inho's dad, and how "cold" he's been to her lately. More surprising is how much of a 360, Grandma has done emoticon She loved Inho, how she treated her grandchildren & wanted her to marry Jeonseol but her hatred for Inho's dad & belief that he's responsible for her son's death has her being unreasonable. I actually liked how Inho's aunt ranted on Grandma about blaming Inho's family for the entire situtation, though it did no good.

Now, I wonder how Inho will react, after putting 2 and 2 together, from that pic of Jeonseol, when he was a child, and realizing who he is emoticon Next weekend's episode (#52, I believe) should be great & can't wait.

Dongho should just leave Bori, who is so wishy-washy. I can't stand her anymore, too much crying and doesn't appreciate everything Dongho did for her (he saved her life didn't he). She does not deserve to be with Dongho anyway.
