Unless the Ex changed a great deal during his time in the US,how did Suin ever marry a guy that evil and obnoxious? He seems like a guy with psych problems who then tries to be very macho to intimidate others.

Miryeong's mom is one smart cookie! She knows how to orchestrate events by playing the role of the sweet, meek person, while really pressing all the right buttons to get things rolling! Last night we saw her going to the hospital to visit Dr. Mom, planting a few seeds, then letting Dr. Mom tear into Minsu about the money, moving too fast on the new hospital equipment, etc. Also saw Gramps coming to Minsu's office with his bankbook and seal but overhearing the argument between Dr. Mom and Minsu. He puts the money back in his pocket and leaves. Wonder what he will do in tonight's episode?! Should be interesting....
It's going to be rough for Miryeong for a while, I suspect. With Auntie out to get even with her—really to punish MY—I hope MY's mom has blocked Auntie's moves on Miryeong. Not to mention, I hope Mom has thwarted her SIL's cold treatment of MY. If she weren't staying with them, Minsu would really be harsh towards his wife.
My favorite part of last night's episode was Minsu telling his mother that Auntie is trying to force him to pay her monthly on her Dad's money (her inheritance), when he hasn't even died yet! And Gramps overhearing that.... Yikes.
How did Suin ever marry that creep? The two main reasons were that she was heartbroken and disillusioned about life because Hyeonsu had just dumped her without satisfactory reason or explanation, and secondly because SeongTae's family knew he was gay and wanted to quickly marry him off to a good family, so they kept his background a secret. Suin's mother was fooled by SeongTae's good 'conditions' and made the marriage arrangement. At that time, Suin didn't care about life and just went along with it. Neither she nor her family had any idea what Seong Tae was really like or what was going on with his Chinese lover.
On the SeongTae actor, he looks familiar to me, too, but I couldn't find out who he is. None of the English sites has his character listed. I thought at first he might be the guy who played the plastic surgeon in Likable or Not, but I don't think so. Even if he had some lip reduction work done, it doesn't seem to be the same actor. I can see a resemblance to the actor in Great Inheritance but it is not that actor, either.

NChristi! The exhusband of Suin 's name is Lee Tae Seung, he has appeared in several dramas such as Stairway to Heaven, Into the Storm and Love & Obsession, he is not bad looking, not hunk status but passable.

Nsheldon! My apologies for incorrectly spelling your name. Lee Tae Seung has a slamming body, he is 25 yrs. has appeared in a 2004 drama Into the Storm, and Stairway to heaven with Choi Soo Woo,(sp) (the cryer) Kwang Sang Woo, and that doctor dude in Cain & Abel the one with the nose. Also a new drama Love and Obsession with Yuran husband from Glass Castle, the adulterer.

It's been a long time since I was here, but here I am again, still watching the dramas in Philadelphia PA and lost my bookmark, but found it again.
This drama is testing me. At first I didn't care for it, but it as usual draw me in. I'm so happy you are still here wrting about the dramas.
My feelings about this one are:
The whining mothere of Suin is driving me crazy. Every time she shows up languishing away eitherin bed, or in prayers, or anything I already know what she's going to say, so I do something quickly to avoid her, usually a snack break. Kill your baby it's better for you and better for everyone. And let me get everyone I know of to tell you the same thing. SHEESH! We all now know her stance on things, give her some new lines!
the sister of Suin... she just needs a good time out! Also driving me crazy.
And the Cowon character? I think everyone's got her number, but I also thing Suin is using her to avoid her own feelings. Another character driving me crazy.. Giving away prenatal vitamns to a stranger. really...
And yes, I find it incredible that the father looks younger than his drink swizzling son, shocked at first but getting used to it.
Cabbie's wife? At first I didn't like her, but she's growing on me.. not much but a little.
Model and manager? I like this story line alot.. Like her, like him, like the model agency manager, who by the way I'm also watching again at the same time in the rerun of another drama that is on here at midnight right before TRH...
I wish they were on earlier in Philadelphia, this midnight madness obsessiono of mine with watching these dramas has wrecked havoc on my sleep schedule! hahaha
Usually I've seen Dr. Mother as one of the good characters, so it's taking me some time to see her as the meddling mother in this one, but even as the meddling mother, she's not bad, so she's not on my loathing list yet, Suin's mother tops that one.
I'm really enjoying reading all your comments as usual, and will be around reading more now that I've found the board again. thanks for all your input!
