class blockquote I didn't quite understand some comments posted earlier about Ex not showing violence. (Maybe I misunderstood?) We have seen at least a couple scenes where he was violent—not hitting anyone but throwing stuff around in a rage. Thanks for the correction.... I don't get to see every ep. class blockquote I have no trouble seeing him as a physically abusive guy.Neither do I.

I got the impression from Mon nite's ep that Suin's dad also feels she and Hyeonsu are "relatives". emoticon

OMG that ex is such a creep. I really do not understand why he really wants Suin back. Is it just because she divorced him and he can't stand to lose what he 'owned'?

What is Suin's mother waiting for? Why doesn't she explain the situation to Suin so she'll understand why Hyeonsu broke it off with her? Sometimes Suin's mother gets on my nerves.. She said she would explain things to Suin, so why isn't she? What is she waiting for? At least if Suin knew why then maybe she wouldn't hurt so much.

I'm sure Dr Dad must be able to hear what's going on. Is that possible if you're in a coma? I thought I read somewhere about someone who had been in a coma for a long time and when she finally came out of it she remembered a lot of conversations that took place in her presence.

Loved seeing Minsu and Miryeong having a nice time together. She's the best character on this show!

I don't know who I HATE more, the Ex on this drama or the female ex on MPY emoticon

There is NO WAY a slimy creature like that, walks into my home like he owns it, talks the way he did to my wife & walks out, after having beat up my daughter & putting her in the hospital for a month...without getting his butt whipped emoticon And I think you were wrong about Sumi taking the jerk's side, nchristi...looks like she hates him, as much as everybody in the family!!

We do see that the CREEP was beat by his own dad, when young...proving that "violence breeds violence"...but don't think I can remember a more disgusting or vile character on a K-drama, and he's only been on a few episodes!! He makes "Sua" from Likable & "Mrs. Jang" from Destiny...two of my least favorite characters of all-time...look human, compared to him!!

Anyone else thinking that possibly it will be Ex who spills the beans about Jisu's real mom and Suin's (if she doesn't already know about her mom/step mom)? I'm thinking it will be soon he finds out somehow.... either by private investigation or just simply overhearing conversations.

The character of Ex is well written and well played for the character to be so hated!

Ex's Mom aided and answered my questions about Ex, too. LOL! WOW, his father has him trailed and completely controlling over him and I'm sure his wife. It wouldn't surprise me if his wife has been abused, too.

Here on the east coast we haven't been introduced to Ex yet, so I can't wait.
I do know abusers are all about control. If this guy wants Suin back its because he feels that he's lost control of her and wants to place her back under his thumb. This is where he feels she belongs. Once he accomplishes that, of course he'll continue his abuse. He didn't become a nice guy overnight. He's still an abuser. His victim got away and now its his job to get her back. So twisted!!

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

I've never been happier about being wrong! Glad to see Sumi closing ranks with her family instead of against them.

I feel sorry for the actor playing Ex. Remembering how some Korean fans can't seem to differentiate between the actor and the character and practically attack them on the streets, I feel sorry for this guy. Ex is about the most obnoxious villain I've ever seen on one of these dramas! Maybe without the glasses, evil eyebrow angle, etc., he isn't so recognizable in public. I hope so.

Well, Ex is about the rudest character we've seen. He's nasty and disrespectful to everyone, including his own mother. The way he spoke to her in his office was rather shocking by Korean standards. Mother was right, though—Ex is so out of control that his negative emotions automatically take over too frequently.

So, what's he thinking now seeing Suin go into the obstetrics clinic? Does he think she's pregnant with Hyeonsu's baby? He doesn't know yet that they broke up. I wonder if EX will try to cause a miscarriage? If he thinks Suin is pregnant by Hyeonsu, there's no way he will let that go without trying to destroy everybody involved. He simply cannot stand to lose anything.

Won't it be something if EX, too, has some sort of epiphany by drama end and becomes a nice guy?! KDR (Korean Drama Redemption).

I wonder if Hiro will become a superstar in modeling? Perhaps he will be instrumental in helping to save Mr. Han's businesses. He was cute in the photo shoot scenes last night. His expressions gave me chuckle. For me, Hiro and Jisu are the highpoint of this drama, counterbalancing all the ugliness and stress from some of the other current situations.

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

The ex is a crazy, insane, maniac. I think between ex terrorizing Suin and Hyeonsu not being able to be with her, she's gonna end up losing that baby.

Now that ex has figured out that the baby is his, I think the best thing would be if she did lose it. I can't imagine the life Suin would have to endure if she has that baby. He will never let her go and will torment her or kill her. And I can't imagine what that poor child would have to suffer with him as a father.

Always making me smile and enjoying this is Jisu/Hiro. They are just the cutest couple (at least I'm hoping they'll be a couple).. I hope she leans on him when she finds out the truth about her bio parents.

Auntie expects Miryeong to make jam/cookies to pay back for Auntie getting cookies? I thought Auntie was such a great cook. She just wants to push everyone on everyone else. SOOOO UNLIKEABLE!!

At least Suin knows why Hyeonsu broke it off. I'm so glad he told her.

smoochie1: You are right...so twisted and yet so realistic. If Suin has a lapse of good judgement and returns to her Ex, he will punish her and the child for the rest of their lives. And if she doesn't return to him the Ex will find ways to make her life difficult. Suin's knight on a white horse is Hyeonsu...coming in for the rescue (I hope).

I know nchristi is right about the KDR but I'm hoping that there is no redemption for this cad, however, in the real world KDR will prevail. Thank goodness for Jisu and Hiro. I love their spirit. I also like the relationship between Mrs Guk and Grandfather. It is sweet, comfortable and familiar.

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

WOW...this is getting GOOD!!

I can't remember any K-drama...that I have seen anyway...focus on domestic abuse in such a strong way...and with a gay man at the head of the firestorm, no less emoticon

I think if I were that actor, I would stay away from Korea & go hibernate somewhere until the drama ends emoticon And I really hope the writers don't do the same old thing & turn him "good" & "remorseful" at the end...frankly, it wouldn't be believable, at all, IMO!!

I can't believe Hyeonsu took that beating & only punched that JERK, once emoticon I like Hyeonsu & respect his "peaceful ways" but there comes a time when you need to "beat back" a bully & think Hyeonsu looked a bit weak for his "lack of fight"!! I'm also not sure about the whole "let's get back together" idea for Suin? After how he dumped her...understandably, not his choice...I just can't see her agreeing!!

I know she's not everybody's favorite character but what happened to Chowon? It's like she left Korea or something emoticon And how can Suin be FIVE months pregnant & NOT be showing...not to mention, she's as thin as a pencil emoticon

DAMN...that slimy Ex now knows that the baby is his and his mom is just as evil as him emoticon What will the ramifications of this mean for Suin & her family?

This drama is really getting GOOD!!
