Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

Jisu is too odd for words. She's the one who stuck like glue to Hiro when he first came, taking care of him and being with him constantly, far beyond a boss/model relationship. We've had this same situation in previous K-dramas, where the character is completely oblivious to romantic feelings both in themselves and from the other person. Completely unbelievable to me. I can see someone like Jisu being afraid of romantic feelings and running away from it—but I cannot believe someone like her has absolutely no clue that she or Hiro has personal feelings for the other stirring within.

As for Hiro, I like him even more than I did before! I like how honest and direct he is when it's called for. His acting was good last night, too. Loved the expressions in his eyes.

Good thing Juho and Shinae were present when Yongsun spotted her ex-SIL Seonyeong, forcing her to keep her usual outrageous behavior in check. I still don't understand YS's hateful attitude towards S-Mom, since S-Mom had nothing to do with the deaths of YS's brother and mother. The only thing I can figure is that she transfers the blame to S-mom to remove it from herself—since neither of those deaths would have occurred if it weren't for YS's actions back then. As usual, YS is allergic to thinking and let the cat out of the bag regarding S-mom's baby, Jisu.

I'm very happy to see the primary young single mother still in the drama—the one Suin gave Kongji's things to. I think she's one of the cutest, sweetest looking actresses I've seen in many a moon.

Hyeonsu is such a sweetie pie, isn't he? Hovering in the distance, watching over Suin. He's my favorite Daily Drama leading guy so far. Just has everything... personality and looks.

They're moving fast in this drama. Smart to move immediately to another high point now that we've quickly finished with the EX and Suin crises. Now we have the Jisu crisis—both with complicated parent stuff, and with Hiro.

Well, Dr Mom knows Suin had a miscarriage but that really doesn't matter to her. There is no way that it is allowable for Hyeonsu and Suin to be together (in her mind)... And it looks like Hyeonsu feels the same way. He told his mother that he will quit after this project. He's determined to be the good son and remove himself from Suin's presence. However, I saw the way he stared at her when they went to visit little single mommy... He still loves her. I hope his emotions get the best of him...

Then again, Suin, the level headed one, will make sure NOT to do anything to encourage feelings from Hyeonsu. It'll be a long time before we see these two finally get together... but I'm hoping it does happen eventually....

Loved the new phrase that Hiro taught Jisu... I hope she sees what a kind and sweet person he is. I don't want her 'sister' Sumi to get her claws in this guy (man they are sure making Sumi into a kinder woman lately).

Funny how Aunt was going crazy trying to figure out the possible relationship between her daughter and Junho... She's really something....

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

I'm loving the Jisu-Hiro storyline but have to wonder how such a beautiful girl like Jisu could be so clueless about when a man likes her, considering she's 27 years old??! FUNNY, seeing Hiro teaching Jisu some Japanese phrases...especially, "I like you so much, I'm going crazy"...and Jisu has no idea what she's saying, LOL!!

I like how Suin is helping the girl with her baby but does anybody else see trouble ahead....like Suin getting over-attached to the baby and, maybe, trying to take the baby as her own??! Just a thought I'm having!!

Can't believe Auntie....she doesn't want to tell Jisu about her real mom & she wants to stop Shinae & Juho from studying together?? What a hateful person she is!!

I hope Seonyeong doesn't ignore Jisu, even for the sake of her family. She is her real mother, after all!!

Looks like Dr. dad might be getting his memory back, SLOWLY!!

I wonder how truth is this show of their culture, did anybody catch when grandpa in the room, nobody allow to be loud , and everybody has difference position, like son can not talk back to the mother, and this daughter in law has to talk polite and low voice. It would be really something, if I have to do this at my house, my grandma is 97 years old, if I don't talk loud, how could she hear me!!!

Haha tsnowice!!! I wonder about that too. I'm half Korean and I've never seen anything like that either. Maybe it's because my Korean side is Americanized, well I hardly know them too anyway, and I've never been to Korea to see if that's how it really is.

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

Well, that's how it used to be in the traditional Korean culture. Probably has changed a lot these days. In the past, "elders" were the oldest generation living in a house and no one was allowed to argue or be loud when the elders were in the home. In fact, the other generations were not supposed to say anything in self-defense except "I'm sorry" and "yes" unless they were directly asked to answer an elder's question. That's why characters like Suin and Hyeonsu just politely listen, eyes averted (not supposed to look or 'glare' at elders in the eyes, either) when an elder is on their case—even if the elder is wrong.

You notice that Dr. Mom also behaves that way when with her father-in-law. Even though she's probably 50 years old, when she's with him, he's the "elder." She is not in an equal position with him in the family structure.

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

So, if I go to Korea I should get tons of respect... as an elder...

Ok, Jisu has full knowledge that Hiro likes her and wants her to feel the same for him.. Of course, just because a guy likes you doesn't mean you have to feel the same about him. But she's thinking about it. I hope she doesn't wait too long or she'll lose him to Sumi... I still have a bad feeling about Sumi ..

Didn't the foursome, out having lunch. make you think about what great friends these four could be if Hiro/Jisu married and Hye/Suin married? I'm so wishing this will happen.

So Suin's mom has decided to leave things as they are. I actually think it's the best way also. I mean, Jisu is 27 now. It's a little late to expect her to call another woman 'mom'. She's happy. ANd her bio mom has Suin, Sumi and Junho. But you just know that big mouth Aunt (or her husband) will spill the beans.

So cute how Dr Dad took a walk with Dr Mom and then decided to sleep in their room so they could 'talk' more. He likes her company.

Minsu is incapable of ridding himself of greed. Just like his Aunt...

Why is Suin not Sumi and Junho's sister when they have the same father? Are they not half brothers and sisters?
I assumed they had the same father so they do share the blood line.

Sumi & Junho are half sister to Suin by the father. Also they are hald brother and sister to Jisu by the mother genealogicly that's the way it should go. Asians very rarely honor half siblings, that is why marriage between the sams last names is not permitted.

Actually, I have a half brother and we are both half Asian and consider ourselves brother and sister with strong blood ties. But the mother is saying Jisu is their sister, but Suin isn't which does not make sense so I would attribute it to the writers choice.
