nchristi;totally agree with you on Sumi. Every time she gets angry, she takes a credit card and goes on a shopping spree?? Still think Gramps is at the center of the drama. He will forgive his son for the past, just as the son will forgive Minsu. Gramps will have give to his his OK for the Hyeonsu-Suin and Hiro-Jisu realtionships. Then the Yu and Han families can move into the future with a positive outlook, free from secrets and blame.

Thanks, nsheldon, I always love the spoilers!

I think Sumi here might be suffering from what they call middle child syndrome lol. No matter how much attention and love she gets, she'll always feel stuck in the middle and be miserable and competitive; never satisfied.

Sumi is a brat but there were many times that her mother and father definitely treated her with indifference and neglect ... and openly lavished love and attention on Suin. I agree that Sumi's behavior is her own doing but I can still understand some of her jealousy and anger...when this drama first started I was surprised and had commented on how the parents favored Suin....

It would be hard not to show love to Suin because she is a kind loving girl. Suin is easy to love.... But it makes me think that Sumi needs it (love/attention) even more...

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

I have to go back to about the middle of this drama - I have this question that keeps bothering me and I did not see if it was addressed. I would like to know how Seongtae had the nerve to say he would PERMIT the single mom documentary to be run. Where does he get the authority? If Suin's dad had a producer of some station that would show it what does that have to do with Seongtae? He does not 'own' the rights to that documentary, so Dreamers can do what they choose with it - make a movie or whatever! He does not own the TV stations either. All he did was 'buy' time just like any other sponsor. And supposedly, Mr. Han had sufficient sponsors AND Chowon's company backing this. Where did Seongtae get off? Unless Korean TV works totally differently all Mr. Hwang did was to try to bribe station people. If he didn't have a show what would they do? Show reruns? Show fuzz?

GRRRRR! Even thinking back now I could spit - Seongtae is a sleaze!

I don't like this show seems to be encourage to be single mom, and Hyun Su made special tv program for that?
No wonder this drama has to be 15 or order to watch. I think this still not enough, should be 18 or older to watch.
And what's up with Suin's ex, I thought the writer said he had affair with a Chinese man, now he only act like mean ex- husband only. I thought he supposed to be a gay in the drama??
Does anybody know this show air in Korea now same time as U.S.?

I think what this drama in doing is bringing to the front burner what a single mom is all about. If any thing I feel it would discourage unwed pregnancy.

I am thankful that my son was 12 when i became single. The young girls in our society do not have the same stigma about pregnancy as young girls in other society have to face.

I don't feel that this drama is encouraging it, i feel it is trying to show how difficult life can be when you are single with children, and in this drama it did not matter weather you were married or single with a child.

My 2 cents worth
Margaret

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

Single parenting is a fact of life... Whether one becomes a single parent (usually mom) due to never marrying, divorcing, or the death of a spouse, it's still an issue that is a problem in some cultures (Korea being one). I think what this show is trying to show is that a single parent needs support from family and society. The children and the single parent needs acceptance.

I've seen so many Korean dramas that show a person is judged by what their parents do/did. And if a person has an absent mother or a father then their worth as a person is 'less'.

DAMN that auntie emoticon

First, she's insistent on keeping Shinae from Juho & then blabs to Jisu's mom about S-mom & keeping it a secret from Jisu, while Jisu overhears everything emoticon

I can only imagine what poor Jisu is going to go through now...emotionally & mentally emoticon
