Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
class blockquote Sumi was gloating about it. SHe was actually smirking a very nasty smile knowing her brother was in pain. Don't like Sumi today...Misery loves company. I see her as a VERY emotionally mixed-up person. I think she feels threatened by Jisu. I think its all in her head, but she doesn't know/realize that yet. class blockquote Dr Dad has to give CPR to a man who passes out. His memory must be back now (completely)... Showed previews on KBS World.Maybe it was our previews, too, but I thought the memory flashbacks were part of our ep that was aired Wed night The flashbacks of the split between him and his father.
Right now, I don't think S-Mom knows what is the best way to handle talking to Jisu. Except for J's brother, no one knows she knows. Though, it looks like Jisu is going to hold a family meeting to discuss.

K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
I am sorry, but I can not become interested in the father's story line. It just seems to get into the way of the more interesting story lines. There tends to be too many plots which is a distraction. Really it's because I am tired of seeing the same old unattractive men actors playing all the different parent roles.

K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
Too many plots in a story is really like real life. Most of us have many balls to keep up in the air at the same time. Some of the balls are more interesting than others but the boring and annoying ones make the gratifying ones even more valuable. Then again some of the balls I'd like to see under a large steamroller.
As to the old unattractive men....just like real life some old folks are more physically attractive, but others are more interesting. Sometimes (not always-just sometimes), the really handsome old guys are vain, bitter and unpleasant. I guess the thing that changes when a person gets older is the qualifications for what makes a person attractive. Speaking of the old folks I wish that Mrs Guk and Grandpa would become a permanent couple. They really are very sweet together and even wiser as a twosome. Perhaps, it would ruin their relationship if they got married.
Sumi really has learned about negative attention and the squeaky wheel theory. People have to learn to ignore her boorish, nasty behavior for a while and start only praising her for the good things she does (whatever that may be). The person she is hurting the most, however, is herself.

K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
If I only wanted to see "real life or life as it is," I could sit on the street corner in my neighborhood instead of watching the dramas on TV.
I would not assume that nice looking elderly men are vain. The Grandfather on this show is very attractive, and would make a nice coupling with Mrs. Guk. Maybe I should have limited my comments to the father who I have seen on many shows playing the father of the main young characters. He is one of my least favorite actors, and he is very annoying to me. In fact, he is the only character on the show that I don't care for.

Please not 160 episodes!! 120 at the most and move on to the next drama. While the other family members, for the most part, have changed and moved forward, Dad is stuck in the past and become more angry. Jisu and her mother have to reconcile no matter what Sumi says or does.

class blockquote Well, now Dr Dad is starting to get to me... He is being stubborn and selfish. You can say that again! How ironic...everything he complains about his relationship with his father, he is doing with his son. Dr. Mom has the patience of a saint. class blockquote Please not 160 episodes!!If they don't add more story lines, I'll scream. I'm a person who needs multi-story lines not to get bored. class blockquote 120 at the most and move on to the next drama.Yup! Said that a page or two ago. I do want to know how they solve the Jisu issue, but don't need it to be dragged out.
Hiro - did not like the outfit he was wearing Fri nite. Too metro-sexual (man, I know I used the wrong word) for my tastes.

120 ep would be just about right. Adding 40 eps it is too much. It drags the story down.
Jisu needs to stay at her job. Jisu and Hiro (and the cute, little white dog) need to be together. Mrs Guk and grandpa need to return to their country life, Auntie has to get Laryngitis, of course, Hyeonsu needs to go back to his career, Suin and Hyeonsu need to resolve their romance problems and Sumi could be sent to a boarding school in Switzerland (that will keep her away from Hiro).
Dr Dad is being difficult but that is the way some stroke patients are when they are recouperating. Sometimes after a stroke, the patient seems to have a new personality. Maybe because they feel they have lost control of their life. Guess it is a combination of frustration and wanting his old life back and in Dr Dad's case, wanting to make decisions for his family's future like he used to.

The father did not seem to have any physical problems after recovery. Isn't that rather unusual for a person who has been in a coma for a long period of time?
