Looks as though this drama ended in Korea this past Friday (6/26), at episode 120. We had episode #84 on Friday, so we have 36 to go.

Aunt is like Sumi.........they both have their good days and their bad ones. Though more bad than good. emoticon Every once in awhile, they both show some good qualities.

Even on their 'good' days I can't stand either and to me, they were/are a waste of space. especially since I haven't read on here that the Aunt gets decked or slapped lol. We're at the part where Sumi just found out that Jisu is her sister as well.

I don't know if anyone noticed but last week when Suin's mom was in bed all day she somehow changed her clothes 3 times ... and never into PJ's...

Tonight Hiro was my Hero. It will just break my heart if he doesn't end up with Jisu..

120 episodes? THAT'S PERFECT...

been working in the mountains and haven't been able to watch the dramas but once every 12 days. Did they ever show Sumi's mom get angry about being deceived about the birth of Jisu? I can't imagine a mother not being extremely upset and angry about the deception that was played on her.

Good point, curly carrot...she is SOOO emotionally fragile but, yet, never seems to get angry emoticon

She was more surprised about the deception than anything but never angry & I find it a bit hard to believe that a woman who finds her birth daughter, who she thought was dead, wants NOTHING to do with her now emoticon

Plus, I don't know how any mother would allow Sumi to talk to them, the way that Sumi talks to her...berating her??

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

Sumi's mom would love to have a relationship with Jisu. But Jisu's mom basically convinced bio mom that it would hurt Jisu to know the truth. The biggest obstacle is Sumi who demanded that her mom NOT ever see or talk to Jisu. It became so emotionally difficult for Sumi's mom to handle that she agreed that she wouldn't see Jisu.

However, once Jisu learned the truth she tried to meet with her bio mom. She called her but bio mom, at the time, was standing right next to Sumi who was glaring at her. Bio mom was abrupt with Jisu and hung up.

Later, bio mom tried to see Jisu but Jisu was already hurt and wouldn't meet w/her.

Sumi is the problem. Junho, Suin and the dad all want the mom to try to have a relationship with Jisu. They would welcome Jisu into their family. Sumi is making life hell for her mother and for Jisu. Every chance Sumi has to stick it to Jisu (reminds her how she was abandoned by their mom and how, even now, bio mom knows she's alive she doesn't want anything to do with her).

And of course, Jisu's mom and aunt are making it look like bio mom is a monster for not wanting to see Jisu. They are the ones who first didn't want bio mom to contact Jisu or tell her the truth.

Lex is right about bio mom being frail. Emotionally she is a wreck.

Wouldn't it be fun if Sumi turned out to be adopted?! LOL!

Loved Hiro comforting Jisu with the hugging. The way the camera was positioned, I was afraid someone like Sumi was standing there watching.

S-Mom. My take on her is that she doesn't find her 'angry' voice because she's too immersed (all her life) into feeling guilty about everything. Auntie and Sumi don't help the situation. S-Mom is very passive by nature and both Auntie and Sumi are extremely aggressive. We're looking at a person who had a complete mental breakdown after her husband's death and subsequent birth of Jisu. She's always been blamed by Auntie for everything that she had nothing to do with. She continues to be blamed by Dr. Mom (infrequently) and Sumi (frequently). S-Mom tries her hardest to juggle all these problems and tries to do what she thinks is best for all concerned in order to keep the peace.

Sumi needs to be confronted with the truth of life and get used to the fact that Jisu is her sister and that S-mom needs to freely express her own heartbreak and love regarding Jisu. There isn't any way to 'love' Sumi into acceptance of this situation. It's one of those sink or swim deals at this point and it's completely up to Sumi to deal with it in a civil manner instead of her hateful tantrums.

Tonight I hope S-Dad takes Jisu upstairs to meet with S-mom. But it might go just the opposite—This isn't a good time... please go home for now.

It seems like in these stories, we are not allowed to get mad or upset with what our parents did to us in the past however bad it was. We are just suppose to "grin & bear" it. Just like in "My Precious You" where Inho's dad treated his wife so bad just because she lost the son of his best friend. He was very cruel to her.
