Sorry...I'm DONE emoticon

Tonight's first 5 minutes were SOO unbelievable, with Suin's mom kneeling down before that WITCH...after what she did to her daughter emoticon ...and then the WITCH having a sudden "revelation" & making friends with Suin emoticon ...that I had to change channels & I've never done that emoticon

I'll just wait until the next one starts, as I'm just too disappointed & just don't care anymore about ANY of those families.

Auntie was shocked by the injury, her father`s lecture, as well as the visit,to back off.Still think she would benefit from psych and medical treatment. Jisu is lucky to have two mothers who love her which she is slowly coming to realize.

Have been waiting to see why everyone is so mad at Seonyung. Youngseun (which was my mother's middle Korean name) blames Seonyung for reminding her that she called Youngwan the day he got into an accident and looking at Seonyung reminds HER of her guilt!!!??? I thought that Grandfather was blaming Yongjoon and Yongjoon was blaming HIMSELF for calling Youngwan the day he got into the fatal accident. Maybe we'll get the answers during the last 12 episodes. Anyway I am glad that Youngseon has some decency and integrity left. Very satisfying.

Just my opinion - but I think both Youngseon and Sumi are wackos! I suppose the writers, intheir wisdom, felt that had to use Youngseon as some sort of catalyst for the long buried guilt and jealousy to emerge.

Maybe they felt they had to do the same with Sumi but both failed.

In Sumi's case they missed a golden opportunity to allow her to grow and be the bridge that connects her two half -sisters.

I don't think Auntie or Sumi learned anything, no relevation, no epiphany, just convenience for a story line.

Sumi is really trying to behave better. She isn't hateful towards Jisu anymore. In fact, I think she likes her. She is very protective of her mother and Suin so she is open and verbal about not liking the fact that Hyeonsu's family dislikes her sister Suin. I don't care for Sumi that much but I think I would like to have her on my side if I got into trouble. She will be a loyal sister to both Suin and Jisu...

Lex07: I know it made your blood boil but believe me, there are so many other ridiculous storylines in other dramas. DON'T leave now. I think the only hurdle left is Dr Mom finding out about Jisu/Hiro. Come on, you can take it... If we're still here then you need to finish up with us!!

We only have a couple weeks left..

Dear Lex07.

come back please. I have enjoyed your posts so much. I think some of the things that are written in this drama are so ridiculous. I don't have your energy to even compose a sensible remark because I am sometimes practically frothing at the mouth. Auntie is unbelievable and does not make a good whipping post even tho she is responsible for so much of the hot under the collar moments for me.

Come back Lex. we all need your burning zeal.....:-)

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)

I had a different reaction to S-Mom last night. It seemed to me that it was a calculated move on her part, not that she was groveling before Auntie, or feeling at all responsible for anything. Fighting with Auntie on her turf doesn't work. That's what Auntie enjoys. But S-Mom's making Auntie feel guilty by feigning responsibility herself (S-mom) was much more effective and the only possible way to get through to her.

Well, at least we got the true story about Yonghwan's death—it was no one's fault other than Auntie's. Auntie could not bear to face that fact but now she had to because Miryeong was standing there listening to S-Mom take responsibility for what was not of her doing. It seemed to me that the moment of change was when S-Mom told Auntie that Juho was transferring to another school. That was a very genuine action to take, one that Auntie would never do—hairpulling and screaming would be her response.

Besides, everything had come to an end. Auntie was still fighting against letting Suin into the family. But Suin was now IN the family and living with them. Too late to stop it from happening. S-Mom created a situation that allowed Auntie to save face and to stop her futile fight. I admire S-Mom for that.

Well, looks like it's too hard for a leopard to change it's spots. Auntie is Auntie and isn't going to change.

I have come to the conclusion that 1/2 the people on this show need therapy. Dr Mom and Auntie are both suspicious of others and both are extremely defensive (about everything). Gramps spent 20+ years mad at his son and blamed him for both his other son's death and the death of his own wife. Aunt's husband is afraid of her. Minsu is greedy and petty. Miryeong's mom, along with Auntie, have big mouths. Dr Dad takes his wife's side even when it hurt his son. Sumi goes way overboard in giving her honest harsh opinion.........There's no right or wrong with these people... It's all about pride, saving face and worrying about what the neighbors think...

Lex... If we have to endure this for another two weeks, you better too!!!
