K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
Thanks NShelden, i still have 35 ed's to go.. moan.. hahahahahah
Does anyone know what Drama is next?-+
I find it interesting how some actors continually take roles that are close to the same personality and have the same traits. I've seen Dr.Mom in a few and in the last one I watched her in she was the same "you're not going to be with MY child!" hahahaha I seem to drag their previous personalities with me and sometiems my mind is changed, and sometiems it's not. I alwlays woinder if they take specific role because of the characteristics of the character, or for another reason, like a job is a job.

K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
I'm at the part now where Mr. Han met with Dr Dad and told him Jisu knows the truth and everone including the vicious Auntie and Dr. Mom is blaming SMom for hurting Jisu more by not telling Dr. Mom that Jisu knew the truth. This part is so irritating for me because of the lame ecxuse being given for SMom not wanting to even see her daughter, because of "her other children", in other words because of Sumi. I just don't buy this storyline at all. I can't imagine any mother finding out her child actually did not die at birth treating her like she has. And promising one daughter you would NEVER see or talk to the long lost daughter because it upsets her is just ludicrious. It 's just not believable. And I think I am glad I can't reach in the RV and wring Auntie's neck like a chicken. She is like a viscous liquid, just keeps burning through story, never a moment when she is not being abrasive or cruel or lying or manipulating. Might be good writing, but I also find it unbelievable that not one human being in their world hasn't even in private said something about her entire life time of bitterness and pettiness.
grrrrrrrrrrrr hahaha she makes me clentch my teeth.

Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
I'm getting the feeling that the biggest problem isn't the past, it is class envy. The Hans are much wealthier (and have much better business heads) than the near-bankrupt Yu family. Now Dr. Mom and Auntie are backbiting and resentful of S-Mom's presents and Suin's talent as a cook. (Sumi certainly doesn't help matters by pulling out the 'wealth' card, either!) I guess Suin puts them all to shame. She is successful in her work and can cook up a storm in the home, too!
I felt sorry for Miryeong. Her only realm of accomplishment and self-esteem is in her homemaking talents and she seemed a little wiped out after seeing and tasting Suin's dishes. At least with Miryeong, she is such a genuine sweetheart that she gives credit where due, looks on the bright side, and moves on instead of harboring resentment (like some others we know). LOL!
In thinking about the past, maybe this was the heart of Auntie's great resentment towards S-Mom from Day One. Even if S-Mom had no money when married into the Yu family, she was always a very beautiful woman, refined in her manners. Auntie is about as opposite from that as is possible and perhaps her feelings of inferiority are expressed in the form of hatred for S-Mom and Suin.

Maybe I`m getting softer as I age, but the tears started to come last night when Jisu and S-Mom met. Can`t wait for Jisu to call her Mom instead of Mrs. Han. I agree it was ridiculous for the writers to believe that a mother would shun her own daughter after finding her alive 27 years later. I thought everyone was now OK with Jisu meeting with the Hans, guess not.
