Re: K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
Tonight's episode of "Road Home" was like deja vu all over again! I couldn't believe the dialog between Dr. Mom and Jisu. LOL! Those Dr. parents sure are having bad luck when it comes to their children. Maybe a little less doctoring and lot more parenting might have been helpful. On the other hand, after the huge ordeal Dr. Parents have endured with Hyeonsu, maybe they'll soften up with Jisu. It already seems as though all the fight has gone out of Dr. Mom.
I really felt sorry for Shinae and Juho, too. Auntie is such a rude, rough woman. She will be sorry one day when the crows come home to roost, when Shinae gets older and more independent.
I wonder why Hiro didn't at least wear a jacket when they went to the party. He looked rather out of place, since all the other men (except Juho) were wearing jackets, it seemed.
An aside, "Suin" is starring with Song Il Kuk in a 2003 drama currently showing on the Arirang channel (44.5). "Oasis" is a period piece beginning in the 1930's, or so, being shown as part of the 60-year celebration of So. Korea's independence. Though Arirang has named it "Oasis," the original name is "Desert Spring," or "Fountain of the Desert."

K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
Thanks for the insight on Korean dating customs, nchristi. That explained what I thought was a major unrealistic plot point.
I agree that the same plot points are used again and again: mean mother-in-law, somebody not being somebody's biological child, someone being cheated out of their money, a semi-bad character perpetuating a fraud, bone marrow transplants, liver transplants, falling into a coma but not needing a transplant, shallow nasty girl picking on a nice girl--did I forget any? Anyway, I still contend that Pure in Heart, Bizarre Bunch and Likable or Not did these plot twists with more finesse than Destiny and Road Home. Road Home is better than Destiny, I think, which took a morbid turn at the end. I'd say this is about equal to High/Wide/Earth from 2 years ago.

K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
When Mrs. Guk spoke about her sister moving to Japan,I thought it might be Hiro`s Korean grandmother, but not so far. Already looking foward to the next daily drama and hoping for the best(not too long and some original story lines).

K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
I think it does say 120 episodes in the very first post of this thread. I was worried it would be as long as YAMD, but, we were spared. The whole Hyeonsu/Suin story was a bit dragged out to allow time to develop Hiro and Mrs Guk; I would've loved to know too if they are indeed related.

Yes, Suin is married and have a 3 year old son, they both model for Benetton clothing line, the kid is cute, the husband on the other hand I heard do not want her to do love scenes, he has forbidden her which is crazy if she wants to work as an actress.

K-Drama: 집으로 가는 길 (The Road Home)
S Mom has taken to her bed. Dr. Mom has taken to her bed and his holding her head in her hands. Granps is upset. Dr. Father is confused. Minsu is lording it over his younger brother, and breaking his wife's heart in the process. Jisu is not smiling. Sumi is a snotty brat. S Dad is lost in trying to keep his wife happy against the rest of the world.
Can you tell which episode I'm on in Philly?
hahahahaha I enjoyed watching this one, I like them all, but I'll be happy to see these two women get out of their beds and off my screen. Everything causes the rush to the matress. I wish I could get into my bed as much as they do. ;D
Susan on Episode 91 believe it or not.
