I love it, too. I'm just disappointed that it wasn't better! I did look up the writer--it's the same person who wrote Winter Sonata! LOL No wonder so many similarities.

This will not air tonight on local TV--there's a special on Channel 18.1.

Re: K-Drama: 스타의 연인 (Celebrity Lover/Star's Lover)
I thought tonight's episode (18) was a good one, a return to the feeling of the first few episodes. Perhaps it's because Suh came back, bringing his sense of brutality. The conversation with the oldest aunt was revealing as was the conversation between Suh and Woojin.

Re: K-Drama: 스타의 연인 (Celebrity Lover/Star's Lover)
I think Yoo Ji Tae probably acts to make money for what he really wants to do--write and produce movies. He has made several, according to what I've read.
While I agree that this drama could have benefitted greatly if it had been 10 or 12 episodes, I did enjoy last night's episode, possibly because it's been two weeks since it last aired. I just sort of dropped out of mind the last several episodes. I do think that the scenes are good, but the connections between them are not. It's the plot that didn't jell.
I have purchased a copy, however. In looking for it, I discovered that this was a joint Korean-Japanese production, hence, all the filips re: Winter Sonata. Only a WS addict like me probably recognized most or all the references, and, actually, I thought they were gratuitous. I still think that this is the best I've seen Choi Ji woo, though, and it's worth it for that, at least for me.

Re: K-Drama: 스타의 연인 (Celebrity Lover/Star's Lover)
I caught up with this drama once again and they are still bickering back and forth wthout really listening to what the other is really saying. I don't quite get the immense power that Suh has over everyone. He really is an evil creature it seems.
Yes I also saw the real life Yoo Ji Tai at that wedding. It was on a few weeks ago. the lady love is pregnant and he was taking great care of her both going up those stone steps and especially coming back down again.
There were lots of well known actors and other people at that occasion but I never found out who was getting married.

I believe it was Song Yoon Ah's wedding. Who's the pregnant lady are you referring to? Yoo Ji Tae's lady love? his girlfriend is not pregnant.

Just going by what the news reporter was announcing in English about the various guests coming and going. I must say that Yoo Ji Tae was indeed being very careful helping the lady up and down the stone steps. I have no idea who his girl friend is or what her name is but they sure looked like a couple and he was being very gallant.
If this is not the case blame the announcer.....

Glad to know whose wedding it was..very well guarded and extremeky private. I have seen no pictures of them since the wedding.

Re: K-Drama: 스타의 연인 (Celebrity Lover/Star's Lover)
Finally! This drama concluded airing here on July 18, but I missed it. Unfortunately for me, the Mysoju version had a broken link for months. I would check it out periodically to see if it had been repaired, but no luck. Until today! I was shocked that it was working, though I notice the Viikii source had been replaced by a much better one, one that works and isn't a royal pain in the behind to access. (HaruHaru's fan subs are excellent, too.)
Loved the final episode of Celebrity Lover/Star's Lover. Such a well-done drama. Even though it has been months since I was watching it, I felt no disconnect or struggle to remember where we were. All the story lines were covered but not in a quickie, we have to end this now manner, as so many dramas choose to use.
Loved how Chulsu and his ex-GF peacefully and maturely tied up the lose and unhappy ends of their relationship, coming out of it able to respect one another. She gets her life together and is now a professor teaching Korean Lit. It was even more satisfying to see her accidentally meet up on campus with Lee Dong Gun.
Surprise endings: The bodyguard-turned-actor and his expression of love for Pres. Seo's sister. Very cute. Then there was the Reporter and Chulso's sister. I got the feeling she was saying she wanted to date him.
This was a great love story, directed and filmed wonderfully. The chemistry of the acting ensemble was superb, too. Not to be overlooked is the music and how powerfully it underscored what was happening visually. Overall, this one ranks right up there in my list of best dramas.
