Re: K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)
All So Ji Sub fans have been breathlesssly waiting for this drama. It has been four years since his last real acting in drama. He did his two years military duty and then was stymied by projects that did not happen. He did one film which has come out but I don't think it has reached huge audiences.
This drama seems to be the one that brings Ji Sub back into the Korean drama field once more. I am looking forward to seeing if his acting has been affected by the absence or maybe the long wait has given him more maturity.

Re: K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)
In this time slot, there is a little bit cut, but not much. Certainly no major cuts as we see on KBS America/KXLA.
I thought the opening episode tonight was very good, too. I'm sort of torn between the two brothers. I like So Jisub. But I have a special affection for Shin Hyun Joon. Whether or not he plays a bad guy probably won't matter all that much to me. I really enjoy him, regardless of the character he plays.
So many good actors in this one. The actress who plays the scheming mother... wow, what a shock to see her playing this type role. She's perfect, though, isn't she? She looks like she should be the head matron on the prison block! She scares me just looking at her on the TV screen. LOL!
Too much blood and guts in this one. Watching them cutting, blood flowing, etc., etc., etc., that's gotten old and in too many dramas of late. It's just for some sort of shock factor to the audience. Who needs it? It doesn't really add anything to the story. I'm not queasy in the least about things like that. My objection is that it is just plain boring and a waste of time.
I don't know if I'm going to like the story itself in this one. I've always had trouble with "Cain & Abel," since Cain was rejected for reasons that don't make all that much sense to me. It might be kind of hard to sit here and watch the older brother beat his brains out working hard only to always be a loser to his popular younger brother, become bitter, then allow jealousy and resentment motivate him to dastardly deeds—if that's how this drama is going to go, that is.
Putting all that aside, it seems to be a quality production and kept my attention the whole hour. [Edited out schedule error]

K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)
Wow, starting off the first episode with the "sex appeal" of So Ji Sub...can't complain about that...now we just have to see if the two male leads can carry equal weight.
I agree with the trouble with the Cain and Abel story...interesting though how the younger wants to be so much like the elder and is oblivious to the elders envy of him. It is all too sad that the mother is the great instigator and devisive medium. (and to think she birthed them both...shame on her!) Where have we seen the head of the ER before...it was driving me crazy not remembering

actually, I thought the "chicken man" was the head of the neurology department...the one I am talking about is the woman in charge of the ER

Re: K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)
I just turned it off last night--why have they suddenly become "realistic." Don't need it.
I guess there are other actors in this one--I only saw Shin Hyun Joon--LOL.
