K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)

This is the second drama that Dad is appearing as "Veggie Dad". He has the same role in "Roa to Home".
That must be easy. No lines to memorize.

Wowwy episode 17 was a trip Sun woo admits to his girlfriend that he's the real Dr. Evil and then comes back with the great catch all "Don't you love me Baby!" I hope she dosn't flip out too now that she knows the truth about him cause Sun woo is going to need someone to care for him real soon!
His own personal hitman is too busy sharpening his knife to worry about the details of life.Geess dude if you hate your half brother that much why don't you whack Lee Cho in yourself!
And then wicked witch of the west mom flips out also and admits being behind everything including murder and is even doing this in front of Veggie Dad!! Lady get a hobby! or at least a cat to dote on.
Is this only a 20 episode series? are we down to the last 3 episodes?

TomCat,

Yes..the pot is beginning to boil over now. It was a bit draggy and unbelieveable in some parts but at last Cho In is gathering the reins in his grip and he is going to whip everyone into shape in three episodes. Father is coming back to his senses and will no doubt be able to blow the plotters away because they have all been talking in front of him.

Well episode sixteen even though it was shown out of order did bring some sense to the series last night. The case review of Sun woo's lousy medical abilities were made very clear with the case review board meeting and then everybody withdrawing their support for him as the head of the neurology medical center that was later killed by Lee Cho in in the later meeting.
All of this and what happened in episode 17 really show how far Sun woo has gone to be pushed to the edge, so these last three episodes should be real fun!

K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)

Will Cho In be able to maintain his cold, firm stance against his brother? If he continues to look at him as his idol; then yes, but if he can collect himself and be better than and triumph over his hurts then he will help his brother in whatever way that he can. Showing how there can be different reactions/outcomes to the same hurts is what this drama is about, right?

Re: K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)

curly carrot,

I don't know how to think about this drama as far as the actual story is told.

After all that happened it seems incredible that Cho In would even be able to hold a scalpel to do any surgery on his brother if it comes to that.

He has learned that his adoptive mother killed his parents. She never loved him or treated him as a loving mother would have. He was against his brother doing that kind of brain surgery which made his much loved parent a vegetable. He now knows that his treatment in the Chinese desert was planned and caused by his 'mother' and subsequently he was left in the prison camp by his brother. He knows they wanted to kill him over and over again. I think he would be a saint to now save his brother's life. Someone will have to be charged for these criminal acts so who will it be.? Mother seems to be falling apart at last. Brother is unconscious. Nothing can now be hidden with that crazy Choe killer in prison.

There are several ways to end this story and they are all within the realms of possibility in this drama. There is a surgeon who was assistant to Sun Woo and maybe he will be the one to operate. In which case he will use the Sun Woo method. Karma for Sun Woo.???

We shall see.

Peg

Re: K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)

One more episode finished. Must say I really enjoyed tonight's drama. It was packed with important discussions and especially with the thoughts of the two brothers. I is not just falling into place in a soap opera way. Cho In is a man of steel at the moment and his desire for revenge is very strong.

I hope that it will not be a weepy scene with Young Gi making him realise that he has to help his brother. It has to be something within Cho In or a prodding from his father to make him do what is necessary for Sun Woo.

It is obvious that father is quite aware of where he is and what is going on. He has written a letter which I think Young Gi knows about. Also he is writing something on his own on the laptop. Cho In has to visit his father and he will be told something that changes his mind I think. I really don't want it to be the girl who softens him up as it were. Too cliche.

I agree, Peg...if there is to be any change in Cho In's decisions, I hope it comes as a result of the letter/s that Dad has written.
Also, wouldn't you call Dad's condition as being paralyzed and not vegetative? He seems fully aware of what's going on plus he is demonstrating that he can compose a letter...
Although in most cases, family do not operate on family, it would seem very detrimental if not a death sentence to the new emergency center if Cho In didn't operate on his brother to possibly save or extend his life because if that word got out, where would be the trust and faith from their future clients seeing how dedicated the Korean culture is to family.
The last line of last nights episode was so powerful in demonstrating Cho In's predicament and how much easier it would be for him if Sun Woo would just die. But instead, I think we are going to see Cho In having to make a decision on his own.

Re: K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)

I agree that Father is not in a coma and not vegetative. Paralysed is more correct I think. He can see and move his head a little. He can use his hand and raise his arm somewhat. He can grasp on to Sun Woo's hand. I think he is quite cognitve but just can't speak as yet. I hope also that his letters will be the reason that Cho In will try to save Sun Woo's life. He however, does not agree with the method that has been used on his father when he had surgery. I imagine he will use his own method which he was researching in China.

Just my guess.

I am looking forward to the rest of this drama now.
