Re: K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)
Turns out that So Ji Sub was in NYC, as recently as Wednesday the 24th. The fans waited outside to see him and went crazy when he emerged. It seems they were very surprised to see that members of his staff and entourage are more handsome than he is. I'm just repeating what I heard.
Now that's what I was told, by someone who was there. Is it true? I don't know what this person's idea of handsome is. I find it unimaginable, his running around with men more handsome than he is, where would he find them? But in case it is true I think its really nice of So Ji Sub to employ more eye candy for his fans' pleasure. For me, it would have been enough just to see him. He's enough eye candy for me.

The 8th annual NYAFF will begin on June 19th and last until July 5th at the New York Manhattan IFC Center and Japan Society. Films from a number of Asian countries including China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc. will be shown at the NYAFF. Congratulations to So Ji-sup and Gong Hyo-jin for nabbing the first ‘Rising Star Asia Award’!

How nice for him, just out of the army and already receiving recognition for his work on the first try.
It doesn't really get better than this. Does it?

K-Drama: 카인과 아벨 (Cain and Abel)
So Ji Sub oozes the persona of a star in that picture, doesn't he? He has done everything right since leaving the military. In his press conference he said his next project could be in Korea, China or Japan "and if the opportunity presents itself in the future, of course America." I wonder if he speaks English, probably does.
Fans mobbed the gate I read and his car wasn't able to leave until security cleared all his fans away. So...Ji Sub got a taste of America. I'll bet he's liking it.
What's always interesting to me is when they mention an already established actor as a "rising star" when they put out a movie. I mean, Ji Sub is no rookie. I always thought, don't they know he or she has done many things before? I'm realizing now that the phrase "rising star" means becoming "the star" one day, tops in his field.
Thanks for the photos and info smoochie. There's lots of stuff on Youtube about his NY visit. I already watched it. You know me...
