That baby was suffocated with a pillow, then stab (close to the hear) but still lived. What a baby!! She is destined for something great.

THE IRON EMPRESS is a much better show, but you need to get KBS World to really enjoy it.

Yes, the baby Jaymung suppose to become the protector/guard of the drum and Nakrang, she will slaughter and kill for her people as bestowed upon her by her father, even the man she love will fall by her sword.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm rapidly becoming a little overdosed on this one. If I had to use one word to sum it up, it would be 'trash.' Maybe it's the historical drama version of Temptation of Wife. Ya either love it or hate it.

Well, I'm still watching this and finding it so awful that it has become more funny than pathetic. So far, we have seen... class ul class li A newborn baby stabbed in the heart with a coral hair pin (and surviving) class li The other girl baby thrown into a pool to drown. Miraculously, even though she's under water for a couple minutes while everybody ponders what to do, she is pulled out and is just fine! class li A king who won't have sexual relations with one of his queens until she goes through menopause (doesn't want to give her a child to conflict with his only son born of a concubine) class li Queenie fools him by poisoning herself with a toxin that interrupts her reproductive functions, gets him to come in to her and now is pregnant and has run away from the palace to avert the King's fury. class li A young prince (12) who wants to save his brother's wife (40-ish) from being executed so he does a 'levirate' marriage with her (marries his deceased brother's wife to keep the clan going). class li An army or guard type who had his arms and legs cut off as a punishment but now, years later, seems to have miraculously sprouted some new ones, though he's still pulling himself around on the ground and now turning a couple kids into super-warrior types. class li Also laughed at a dead would-be-king being carried around in a casket full of ice cubes—and he didn't even get the least bit soggy! (Acrylic ice cubes are actually quite beautiful!)The best thing about this drama (besides the all-star cast) is the fantastic costuming, especially for the ladies. Such beautiful fabrics and embroidery, though they are low-cut and remind me more of European/French styles from way back when. Of course this was before Confucianism took over in the region, so it might be possible, I suppose.

Then, too, it is a legend, so anything goes. And it does!

lost my signal to channel 18 and 18.3 after the switch to digital...my indoor antenna must not be strong enough! I agree with the craziness of this drama and the unbelievable stories but have been enjoying it nonetheless...don't know when I will receive a signal again so I will return to the discussion when I can.

If you received 18.3 before the switch, you can get it now. Please do a rescan on your converter box.

Edit: A rescan of accessible channels.

Re: K-Drama: 왕녀 자명고 (Princess Ja Myung Go)

What a shame. Perhaps you are in one of those outlying areas where the new signal just doesn't reach. I hope there is a quick and relatively easy solution for you. This change to digital isn't good for everyone—especially for those in some rural areas throughout the country where there will be little if any free TV access of any sort.

Well, the drama is getting less ridiculous and more interesting lately. Puku (white princess) and the circus troop are about to perform before Princess Lahee. Lahee is on an official visit to the country where Hodong is and they (HD and LH) meet again as adults. Puku is being forced to perform before Lahee and assassinate her while doing so.

Hodong is enchanted by Lahee and gives her a bracelet that belonged to his deceased mother.

Everybody—except the king's 'menopausal' wife and her father—are hoping Queenie will give birth to a princess. Looks like the king might take her back if she doesn't have a son. An advisor has told the king to quickly make Hodong the official Crown Prince so that the birth of a son from the 'menopausal' queen won't interfere with his plans for Hodong.

The king wants Lahee to marry Hodong for political reasons. His Evil Queen wants Lahee to marry General Hol (as his 2nd wife), the young guy who married his much older deceased brother's wife to save her from execution. I don't know who he likes—doesn't seem he has the hots for Lahee, but maybe he's just thinking of what an impossible situation it would be married to these two particular women at this time. Lahee is young and beautiful but the daughter of Jasil (sp?), the killer of Wife #1's husband. Wife #1 is old and more Wang Hol's 'mother' (as he puts it) than anything else. At least he is respectful and kind towards his official wife, though they have no intimate marital relationship.

I can't believe that Wang Hol sleeps with his wife. I thought he considers her his Mother, sis in law or both and the only reaon he married her was to save her life. He is too cute and too young to spend his life with his current wife. I want him to fall in love with Puku but that won't happen because Puku is destined to be with Prince Hodong.
