K-Drama: 왕녀 자명고 (Princess Ja Myung Go)

This story is so ridiculous, but I guess it is on a more popular station than KBS World where the IRON EMPRESS
far surpasses the quality of this show.

I like this show very much. I noticed that the children in this show grow up to be adults but the parents, ministers never show any sign of aging. Not even a wisp of gray hair, no lines on their faces. I'd like to know their secrets.

AteOyle For a character to age, you must use age make up or new actors.

Re: K-Drama: 왕녀 자명고 (Princess Ja Myung Go)

We had some graying last night. One of the main ladys-in-waiting has some grey wisps added to her wig.

Prince Hodong is kind of a creep, isn't he? He's about as scheming as his step-mother, the Queen. But then the intermediate portrayal of Hodong before our handsome prince actor jumped in was as an evil looking/acting adolescent type.

So, Hodong is playing Lahee. I couldn't believe he trotted out the same, second-hand line for Puku as he used on Lahee. My dearly departed mother left me only one piece of jewelry and I want you to have it, My Precious... Words to that effect. So he gives the sacred bracelet to Lahee and now the equally sacred necklace to Puku. I guess it meant a little more, though, that he gave his hawk whistle to Puku. How romantic watching her sitting alone screeching on that dang whistle!

Well, they can have Prince Hodong. I'll take The Great General Wang Hol any day, both in personality and looks.

One thing about this drama, it has the most insolent characters and a bunch of evil women characters who share the same phoney laugh. There it was again last night in the young sorceress.

Had to laugh over the elixir that caused the good lady-in-waiting to break out in the 'smallpox' type disease. Lacquer and castor bean tainted water merely tastes a little different from what they drank back home? LOL! Have to say those make-up blisters applied to her skin were very realistic looking. Good make-up devices.

Nchristi... I agree about Wang Hol being wonderful, but I have liked him in everything I have seen him in. However, he seldom ever gets the girl. I remember when he was a police detective and lost the girl to the Korean/American mixed actor when I thought he should have won.

I second or third the motion about the Great General. I like him too. He was in a previous drama where he was married to this spoil brat of a woman (I forgot the title). He looked good then but he looks better wearing
those warrior paraphernalia. If I was casting this show, I would have him as Hodong, tall, fit & handsome.

OMG! It finally dawned on me where I know the Great General Wang Hol from! His name is Lee Joo Hyun and he played "Groomie" in As Much As Heaven and Earth/High as the Sky, Wide as the Earth. He was the most interesting guy in that cast, but I have to agree with you 1000%, AteOyie—he looks really smashing in this drama in the warrior garb. He's perfectly built for it. I really like his great smile, too. Really handsome, attractive man in every way. I hope we get to see him cast in a lot more dramas, including contemporary ones.

Wasn't Lee Joo Hyun in 'SWEET SPY'? He was the police detective and very strong and silent most of the time. He was much the better actor than the hero.
Very handsom in this costume drama. I hope he makes it through to the end.

He was also the cop in that one with Kim Sun ah and Lee Dong gun--When it's at Night, or something like that. I can't remember--I think that one wasn't subbed.

He should have gotten the girl in SWEET SPY instead of the other actor who can't act, but is very popular because of his looks. The actress was also in DOG/WOLF.
