Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
I've finally watched the first two episodes on MySoju (unedited). Looks like an enjoyable drama. Lots of funny stuff and enough characters to never get bored with any one particular storyline. Certainly has an all-star cast.
Very happy to see Kim Hye Ok playing the high class 'Ice Mom' character here. She's one of my favorites. Love to watch every little movement she makes. Always perfect in her portrayals.
Bobby the poodle. Not only pink ears, but matching pink tail! The scene of Yeongdal (Dad) walking him made me laugh. We're the only two men in this family. Put your shoulders back and don't move your tail. LOL!
Lee Pilmo. This role is a far cry from his first character in As the River Flows, isn't it? He's truly an irresponsible player in this one—but lovable anyway. Another great performance. I love all the little faces and movements he makes as the happy-go-lucky playboy, Daepung.
I also really like Park Sun-young, the actress playing the lawyer. I first saw her in Pil Seung as the librarian-looking office assistant, though she's regularly been in dramas since 1999. And of course the older brother played by Son Hyun Joo (My Rosy Life). He's an excellent actor. I'm glad to see him playing this type role this time around.
Even though KBS America/LA is showing two episodes a week over four nights, there are still some scenes deleted. To enjoy it fully, I suggest doing a quick scan on the MySoju episodes to pick up what is missed on TV.
Another note, KBS America has discontinued their old weekly schedule and are now using a KBS World schedule modified for Los Angeles. The new one lists Dish Network, TimeWarner, and KXLA 44/44.1.

class blockquote because I have all the dramas meshed and swirling around in my head and can't keep track!)LOL! Ain't that the truth. I've started a J/K Drama notebook to keep track and write down my comments while watching to keep characters and story lines with their respect dramas/dramedys.

WOO HOO! The brothers just in the boxers and they make a great singing group.
A new young family moved into the neighborhood. They did the slo mo thing when older brother walked past the wife. Wonder if they were each other's first loves? Husband is an idiot jerk (new couple).

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
class blockquote WOW - ten years they've walked side-by-side and never spoken to each other. LOL, talk about stubborn as to who will be the first one to speak. We started to learn more about this last night.... seems the two husbands use to be close friends but something happened to their friendship. That's all we know for now.
Regarding the plot line of the new family that moved in, it turns out the wife is the sister of the lawyer who had a blind date with the older brother.
Previews indicate that the wife recognizes the older brother and that Lawyer Sister didn't know her sister and Older Brother "had a past". A lot of sneek peaks from previews.
If they were dating once, I need to know why she dropped (if it was her) Older Brother for the guy she married. I feel the kids think of him as their playmate and not as their father.
Forgot to add that a new story line has developed. Youngest Son's best guy pal has a 6-month year old daughter that HE is taking care of. Don't know anything about the baby's mother. Father has what looks like a legal document that has him VERY worried.

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
We've come to the end of Episode 4 this week. We've learned that Jinpung and Brutus' wife, Hyerim, were each other's first love (looks like highschool—scene at the aquarium showing the 'kissing' fish). Now, fate has her moving next door to the Pine/Sol Pharmacy (Pinesol, perfect!) as the wife of Brutus the car mechanic and having two kids.
Perhaps this was deleted but there was a scene I think between Gramps and Mom where he was chewing her up and spitting her out because of the oldest son not being married. According to Gramps, it's all his DIL's fault. Jinpung had a couple of serious girlfriends in his younger years but Mom drove them away. The first had a crooked smile that Mom didn't like. The second had heels Mom found unattractive. Seems Jinpung kinda gave up after that.
Yongcheol (guy with the baby) has received his "Greetings" letter from the military. What will he do with the baby, Hana? This must be the 'decision' Yongcheol's landlady mentioned. Can't you just see Mipung (youngest son) taking the baby? He's already attached, making a cuddly teddy bear for Hana, calling to see how she's doing, etc.
One of the funniest scenes so far with Daepung trying to get rid of his girlfriend, Yura (the one who is always crying and saying she cannot give him up even though he's 'married'), was when he was beating his head on the table because she won't give up on him, then she—not missing a beat during her wailing—beats her head on the table three times, too! I laughed at that one.
What a small world! Yura was roommates with the woman lawyer Sujin until Sujin's brother & family arrive from the States and she moves in with them. All the separate family groups and prominent characters in this drama are interconnected with one another in one way or another. It becomes a challenge to remember how they are linked.
I'm really enjoying this drama. Very funny. My favorite characters/actors playing them: class ul Jinpung - lovable, painfully shy, and funny
Daepung - Lee Pilmo is super in this comedic role. DP is such a jerk as the arrogant, haughty, devil-may-care playboy.
Icemom - Love this actress. Exquisitely wonderful as the ultra-snooty, 'high class' wife looking down her nose at the unworthy masses beneath her feet. The highlight of her life this week was changing the winter tea cups from white to spring flowers. That actually made her half-way giddy!
Sujin - Also love this actress as the super-sensitive (probably repressed and frustrated) woman lawyer who loves to lord it over men and sees sexual harassment in every conversation, including the most innocent things said by Jinpung.
Seonpung - Great as the reporter who is oblivious to every feminine wile ever invented! I'm also enjoying Eunji (Icemom's daughter), a girl spoiled and completely used to having men fall at her feet, at her every beck and call. There's something very cute and fun in this actress' portrayal of Eunji. Seonpung is perfect at genuinely not noticing her. Looks like he might be interested in Boksil, the nurse who works for and is in love with Daepung, the playboy doctor son. How excited he was that Boksil tossed him a sausage from her balcony!
Then there is Mipung, the 'sissy' son. Very sweet and lovable character. The casting and writing of these four sons is very excellent. All four of them are interesting, lovable characters in their own special way. Usually I find one or two of them well-written and acted and others lacking. Not in this drama. I can see this drama quickly becoming one of my favorites. Very enjoyable to watch, though I must say that here, again, I think it's important to watch the unedited version on-line to pick up the missing—and important—scenes.

Thanks for pointing this out.
The Brothers were so cute in their matching sweatsuits playing soccer.
I felt so bad for Brother #3 (reporter)... nothing seems to go right for him when it comes to women.
What a hard decision for the Brother #4's good buddy and his infant daughter. It wouldn't surprise me if Bro #4 and family will take care of her.
Grandfather was funny when handing out the flyers for the community meeting - $10 fine if you're late and $20 if you're a no show.
