Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
I really enjoy this drama. All the actors are so good. I agree that Yi Pilmo is marvellous. I cannot think of another actor who could bring this character to life and make him believable.

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
This week we saw Episodes 25, 26.
Yes, I agree Yi Pilmo is a top notch actor but I haven't disliked a character as much as I do Daepung... EVER! LOL! If ever there were any K-character who desperately needs the KDR, it is Daepung. The only good thing I see about him is that he medically treats children. Period. The end. What an abuser. What an arrogant, insensitive, selfish jerk. Besides that, he's about as lazy and useless as they come. Atrocious the way he treats Boksil. I'm surprised Sujin hasn't given him a swift kick right where he needs it (reader's choice).
I'm so tired of DP forcing himself on Sujin. Glad to see her leve him standing there after the musical—on her way home to the kids. Then there was that little hassle in the alley in front of the pharmacy. He throws her up against the wall and wants to bestow his heart-melting kiss on her eager lips. At least he holds himself back since she hasn't exactly leapt into his arms and put a lip lock on him. Then the great line, Stop playing games with my heart. As usual, every discomfort he ever is subject to is the other person's fault. What world is DP from?
Ah, but I thoroughly enjoyed the great scene of Jinpung retreating from the happy newlyweds with his family to the dark and empty pharmacy. The great thing about this drama is that the director and actors really pull us into all the diverse emotions. Jinpung sits there in his loneliness, looking occasionally to the alleyway for Sujin. Then he opens the front door, only to discover DP hovering over Sujin, as though they are about to kiss. Poor Jinpung. He mistakenly thinks they are mutually a couple in a rather intimate moment, quickly jumps back inside the dark pharmacy, hiding behind the wall. But both DP and Sujin have heard the door. The episode ends with them both staring towards the pharmacy, as we see Jinpung frozen behind the wall.
I like the friendship between Miran and Boksil. They seem a good combination. Miran is outgoing and definitely has the ability to light a fire under Boksil to get her going in life. Boksil has the understanding and soft, caring nature to comfort and support the emotionally devastated Miran. Both are educated and talented in their own fields. They accept one another just as they are and look as though they can have fun together, too. That's what friends are all about.
nsheldon, were you always four episodes ahead of us?

What happened to the self-assured strong woman that could put Daepung in his place with just a few quick quips and a stern glance? This isn't the Sujin I remember. I miss her....Actually I miss Hyerim more. She was a sweetheart.

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
Hello everyone,
I stayed up until 2:30 am watching episode 27 at viikii.net (they have all the complete episodes there). It is a must watch episode. I must be the only one that likes Daepung. Unlike others, I don't think that he his evil and mean. He says what's in his mind, and that may hurt people, but that's not his intention (Do I sound like Boksil?).
Lee Pilmo did his best acting yet. I was sobbing while he was spilling his emotional guts out. Later, Yujin has a scene that also made me cry (although her acting is not as good a LPM's).
At this point, I can say this is the best series I've watched this year (except for the Mipung/Hana and her mother part that keeps dragging).

K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
I think that DP will do the noble thing and give up on Sujin (he may even push her toward Jipung.) He now knows that Sujin will not cry for him and want his comforting.
We finally meet Jipung's Teacher blind date (surprise, suprise she is just as gorgeous as most other soap actresses) -- tough luck Jipung!! You now have a choice between two extremely good looking, very intelligent and warm females in their late 20s or early 30s who are deeply intrested in you!!
Bokshil needs to play hard to get with DP. He's not interested in her because he knows she is there for him. Like Anne Bolen she needs to hold out until the King will do anything to marry her. (Although she should try to keep her head too!)
To me this is one of the most technically interesting soaps in that the director uses many unusual screen shots (especially overheads and through-barrier shots that emphasize the conflicting emotions, such as isolation or dismay, of the characters).
