Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
nchristi, thank you for your clarification of these eps., and also the extraneous bits of info (e.g. innerware) you put in. I like.
I have started looking at mysoju for missing pieces. I was wondering how Jinpung could just take it on himself to go to see Hyerim and enter the house. They cut out the part where he talks to Brutus and Brutus invites him to go over and give the album to Hyerim. Whoever does the editing obviously doesn't watch the drama.
nsheldon: Didn't get your PM. I think PMs on this board are like washing socks. They go into some black hole or other phenomena. Everything you put in one end doesn't seem to materialize at the other.
I also think Brutus' story about how he and Hyerim married is just that; a story.
I still wonder how they met/married.
I wonder if Sujin is aware she is attracted to Jinpung?
I'm beginning to like the actress gal. She's fun.

K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
I couldn't believe that Hyerim would rather let Sujin believe that she was having an affair than to tell her how ill she was. I'm glad Jinpung finally said something to Sujin later.

Because of personal reasons, I hope they don't drag out the Hyerim storyline for too long.
I can't believe the BS that Grandpa tells Brutus.

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
So much really good acting by many of the cast in this one... Sujin, Jinpung, Brutus, Ice Mom, Eunji. Too many to mention.
Speaking of Ice Mom, after she left meeting with Eunji's bio-mom, she is sitting on a park bench crying her eyes out. Seonpung comes along. Being the kind soul that he is, he stops to comfort her. Looking up from under that huge brimmed hat, Ice Mom has raccoon eyes from all her make-up running! Very funny. Being the perfect, prim and proper lady she is, she tells him she isn't one to tell a stranger her problems. SP replies that people are looking at her sitting here crying all by herself, so it's better if he sits with her. She's so upset that she just has to cry in front of him. Seonpung assures her he understands and offers her his hanky.
This scene ties in with Eunji's phone call to Seonpung towards the end of the episode, where she asks him to help her translate some Russian words. He then asks her how her mother is now. Eunji doesn't know anything about it, he tells her he saw Ice Mom earlier, etc.
There really was a bunch of crass behavior in this episode (Wed–Thu). I was totally disgusted with both the father and Daepung. What obnoxious, selfish jerks. I was glad to see Seonpung give Daepung a small dose of his own medicine. DP is such a moron that words don't permeate his thick skull—he has to suffer the same discomfort he dishes out to others in order to get the point.
Got a kick out of Mipung. He's so sweet. And so thrilled about raising his report card by 5 points—he's up to 54! LOL!

I'm with you. When you get to be my age, there are so many that have gone before you. Children, elders, peers; from wars, accidents, disease, etc.
There is enough sadness in real life that I don't want to deal with it in a soap.
I'm really enjoying all the other stories enough that I'll go through this.

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
I think this drama is particularly well-balanced. Though there is an element of tragic drama, there is a greater amount of humor, fun, likable characters, and so forth. I suspect Hyerim's decline and death will mostly be a springboard toward a richer development of storylines. This drama is the story of four sons and what happens to them in the grander scheme. Hyerim's death is a life-altering event for Jinpung, directly and massively affecting the direction of his life from that point forward.
I'm curious to see what Mipung's life story will be. He isn't going to be able to give up the baby, Hana. Yet, how will he keep her? Will her young mother come back? Will something happen to the young father in the army? Will Mipung get involved with Hana's bio-mother?
Everything else seems somewhat predictable. Daepung will probably end up with Boksil, eventually. I suppose Jinpung will take care of Hyerim's kids, Gramps will help Brutus, and I look for Jinpung and Sujin to get together—first, for the sake of the kids and secondly because they both will come to like one another.
Seonpung seems the most 'normal' of the brothers. He and Eunji make a very cute couple who would probably be very happy together, so I look for that to continue and 'happen.' Ice Mom objects to Seonpung because he isn't prominent and rich enough. But now that SP has been so caring about Ice Mom, she will probably begin to soften up towards him.

K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)
I have grown to like this show very much. However, I wish they would have bathroom humor in the series. It seems to be part of many Korean comedies.
