Hanna - don't care how imature and wrong her mother was by her drinking and not hearing the baby cry, but he was just as imature and wrong. Unless he left word at reception that he took the baby home with him. He should have woken the mom up. You don't walk away like that. I like him and his character, but the writers need to start making him grow up. I thought this would happen when he was taking care of Hanna. class blockquote I thought about some of the actors/actresses that have committed suicide over some of the postings on the Internet.I know the scene was meant to be funny, but maybe the writers were trying to send a message to fans. That its NOT okay to put someone's personal life on the internet . I know its a VERY THIN line for public figures what is allowed and what one considers private, but that was so wrong, and especially for someone who was so young, to do that. I hate UTube because of this kind of behavior.

We're getting to be a horrible socity around the world.... there are no boundaries anymore, and these are the people who will be running the world as they get older.

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)

I'm not always sure which scenes have been deleted or not because I switch back and forth between two channels during the last half (15 minutes) of "Perfect Sons"—probably just enough to miss the best parts of both programs! LOL!

This week the current episodes were linked up to MySoju so I could view the unedited episodes. Most weeks, though, the postings are delayed by a week or two. If they were current, then I could easily post up the deleted scenes each day. But, beggars can't be choosers! I'll gladly take what's offered.

Episode 20 A-B class ul
Mipung is drinking at a tent bar. He takes out his cellphone, which is full of pictures and videos of Hana. He gets even sadder—and drunker—as he reviews them. The tent bar owner comes over to him, encouraging him to stop drinking. She assumes he's heartbroken over a girl and tells him there are lots of fish in the sea. Mipung goes home, entering the bedroom full of his family hiding from Gramps in the dark...

Over at Eunji's, Ice Mom and Designer Mom argue about who is EJ's mother and has the right to punish her. (This wasn't deleted, but cracked me up, totally! Designer Mom tells Ice Mom that she supported Eunji from Paris through "mental telepathy" and by "sending her energy.")

Eunji confesses to her dad that she wasn't playing around, she really likes Seonpung.

Sujin stops by the pharmacy, bringing a strawberry drink for Jinpung (and one for herself). He is very suspicious of her generosity—Why are you smiling? You're scaring me? Are you going to ask me to babysit again? Sujin is being sincere, bringing the drink to thank him for his babysitting the night Daepung took her to dinner. She watches him drink through the straw, smiling at him. As she leaves, she comes back and asks him if he likes bread? She knows of an especially good place and will bring him some tomorrow. He doesn't know what to think of her. She walks down the alley but stops and looks back at him drinking the juice and talking to himself in the window. Sujin smiles, enjoying Jinpung's little innocent ways.

Brutus goes to school to meet with the teacher, a mother and the little girls his son fought with. The mother is a snob and says Brutus will be receiving a hospital bill from her. Her parting shot outside within earshot, upon her daughter saying Brutus rides a motorcycle: "I know. What can his kids learn from him?" Brutus is cut to the heart. Seongjin starts crying at the names they called him and tells his dad he doesn't know what to do—"What should I do?" Mari cries, too. Brutus' eyes are full of tears, too. (Brutus must later speak with Gramps, as Gramps has invited both Brutus and his son over for tutoring.)

Daepung is administering threats of corporal punishment to Mipung for being drunk the night before. Miran comes home and overrides DP—she is his senior in age. She casually tells Mipung to come with her to her room. DP is fit to be tied now that his authority and punishment has been snuffed out in a mili-second.

Hana is playing video games at the sauna, ignoring Hana on a blanket where she can easily be stepped on. Another mother stops and criticizes her as a mother but Teen Mom is too busy playing to notice or respond.

Brutus and Seongjin arrive for tutoring with Gramps. Mom is put off by their presence. Brutus and his son to full bows to greet Gramps and thank him for his tutoring. Seongjin tells Gramps how the kids are picking on him. Gramps tells him to come tell him whenever it happens again.

Dinner is ready. Gramps tells Brutus to call Sujin and Mari and come join the family. They show up. Mom is even more annoyed. Sujin feels like an intruder but Gramps insists.

Sujin arrives. Daepung practically drags Boksil up to go sit at the other end beside Mom so Sujin can sit beside him. Mari, of course, immediately heads for Jinpung's lap. DP hogs all the meat for Sujin to eat and makes lettuce wraps for her. When dinner is over, Gramps tells them to come back tomorrow! They all say good-bye.

Boksil doing dishes. Miran comes in and asks what she's doing cleaning. She tells her she knows why DP and BK are not working out as a couple. "Daepung has a woman! It is Sujin." BK is shocked. Miran tells her to wake up and smell the coffee.

Outside, DP asks Miran about a musical—he wants to take Sujin as a date. Miran knows Boksil can hear so asks DP who is he going with... Boksil? No. Someone else. BS knows what Miran said is true. As she walks through the courtyard to leave, she listens to the voices of the different family members. She stops in front of DP's room and hears him on the phone—he is calling Sujin to see if she got home okay and if she is "digesting well." He then asks her out on a date to see a musical. Alone, Boksil leaves the courtyard and walks down the dark, lonely street, her heart aching...

Seonpung at work, his workmates tease him about being a big shot now: he has the national corruption exposé and he's dating a movie star! SP doesn't have time for this. Designer Mom has come to see him at work. They go for coffee. She asks if he likes Eunji. It's okay if they love one another but the "family issues" will have to be resolved. This scares SP and he denies he is in love with Eunji. Designer Mom asks if he's called EJ since this incident? No. She's shocked and tells him EJ is "locked up at home."

DM goes home and talks with Eunji, telling her she met with Seonpung and that she wants them to break up because SP doesn't care about EJ.

Mipung rubbing Miran's back, she tells him she saw Hana. MP goes running to find the baby. Teen Mom is passed out from drinking. MP takes Hana home with him.

Late at night, Eunji calls Seonpung and breaks up with him. He has thought things over by now but she doesn't give him the chance to explain himself. In pain (his arm) he runs over to Eunji's home. He stands outside... what can he do? He can't call her (Ice Mom has taken away her phone), he can't ring the bell. He stands in the dark, miserable.

DP calls Sujin to go to the musical with him. She declines, not wanting to ask Jinpung to babysit since she doesn't want to take advantage of him, plus JP already accused her of having ulterior motives when she brought him the strawberry juice. DP insists and presumptuously tells her he will pick her up. He then calls Jinpung, who doesn't really want to babysit. Boksil is standing there listening to all of this.

JP picks the kids up from school. Sujin runs home to get the kids and falls while running, badly scraping her knees. She goes to the pharmacy to get the kids. JP asks why she isn't going out with DP? She replies that she had not accepted, he was just deciding on his own. They get into a little spat as he tries to clean up her knee. Mari says they are like her mom and dad...having a lover's argument.

Meanwhile at the clinic, Daepung is getting all dolled up for his date—every hair in place. Boksil asks him not to go out with Sujin, she wants to talk with him. He puts her off, telling her he doesn't want her to ruin his date. She follows him down the stairs as they argue, ending up in front of the pharmacy. Hearing laughing and fun going on inside, DP looks inside: Jinpung, Sujin and the kids are laughing and joking in a very informal manner, having fun being together like a couple having pizza with their children. Daepung is stopped in his tracks. He sees the genuine happiness and affection on Sujin's face as she watches Jinpung—a mood she never is in when she's with him. Boksil stands beside Daepung, feeling bad for the pain he is experiencing. The camera focuses in on Daepung's bitter countenance.

But the very last shot is Boksil looking over Daepung's shoulder -- what an expression -- as she realizes that Sujin is not DP's "woman" and that DP has now been bitten with the pain of unrequited love.

So maybe Eunjeoung dumped both fathers to marry a jet fighter pilot, who later died in a crash. (more on this later since it is clear that she lives poor and her son , also a pilot, is apparently ashamed of her.)

I laugh so hard at this series -- it is great that they seem to alternate sad and funny series in the weekend KBS slot. (Love LTR but got a little tired on the never ending reasons why her character couldn't marry her disk jockey/composer.)

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)

Yesterday the actress playing Sujin was interviewed on Showbiz Extra (Arirang's daily entertainment program). They asked her which character she would personally prefer, Jinpung or Daepung. She said she gets asked that question a lot but in real life she would choose the Seonpung character. (She's got good taste!)

I had noticed that Seonpung looked considerably older than Eunji but I missed the fact that his character is actually ten years older than she. The end scene last night, where he sits her down and has a serious talk with her about where their relationship is heading was a heartbreaker. She's just a kid, having fun going out to play with Seonpung, while he realizes he is beyond the age for that and either they have to seriously consider marriage or just be 'friends.' Unfortunately, Eunji doesn't seem to have the mental capacity or (experience yet) to get what he's saying and assumes he is just indirectly dumping her.

Ice Mom really cracks me up. The actress is one of my favorites and I just love how she plays this role. Ice Mom is so up tight and controlled... those mincing little steps she takes with no body or arm movement. Her hat and bag (shades of QE II); the way she actually picked up and tossed a couple of hair curlers on the floor when she followed Munsuk (sp?) into the beauty shop and nabbed their straying husbands. When we first saw that permed hair, I really laughed.

I like Eunji's bio-mom. A cool head. She goes straight to the heart of things in a very business-like manner. What a relief from all the screaming, violent women so prevalent in K-drama.

Finally Boksil is getting the picture and staying away from Daepung and from being his family's maid and cook. I was surprised DP actually asked her out to lunch ('his treat'). She turned him down and told him to go eat lunch at home. Then she ate a sandwich she had brought for herself. I hope some nice guy comes along and pays her the attention she deserves. In the end, I'm sure she'll end up with Daepung—unfortunately. But the KDR will kick in and he will be a good boy by then.

The actress who plays Ice Mother is also one of my favorite character actresses, but not in this show. For the first time, I don't like her characterization.

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)

It's become pretty obvious that Sujin is drawn to Jinpung. Daepung is getting it too and doesn't like it. He must want her even more now that he senses she isn't really into him and that possibly Jinpung is who she likes. You always want it more if it's not within your reach.

I think Eunji is too young to marry but she's very lucky she fell for such a responsible man. He will expect her to honor and serve the adults, and work hard, but he will be good to her also. She's got a lot to learn but she's a good person and her only fault now is inexperience. They do make a cute couple..

I LOVE Eunji's ice mom. She is hilarious. Watching her, in her uptight snooty way, try to deal with Eunji's bio mom living in her house; seeing her young daughter fall for a guy who she feels is not suitable and having to have contact with 'that' other family.

I pretty much think I like everyone in this drama. There isn't a single character I really 'hate'. I suppose the one I am least fond of would be Hana's mother. But then, here's another very young girl expected to be mature and responsible. Maybe she didn't have parents that were good role models.

This is one of the most enjoyable dramas I've ever watched.

Re: K-Drama: 솔약국집 아들들 (My Too Perfect Sons)

The KXLA version has been editing out some of the scenes where Daepung is trying so hard to get Jinpung to commit to marrying the 'blind date' teacher. Although he is jealous of Sujin having so much fun and closeness with Jinpung, he still thinks that JP is hooking up with the teacher. Actually, Jinpung just seems to sort of exist and live his usual uneventful, undirected life. Although Sujin seems to be drawn to Jinpung, it seems he doesn't recognize any stirrings within himself for Sujin on a romantic level—if there are any.

Last night we saw that Brutus is sharper than the lot of them! He picked up right away that his sister's interest in Jinpung is anything but just neighborly.

I had to laugh at how long Sujin's bruised forehead is going to last, bandage and all. Seonpung was gone for a week or two (depending on which e-sub you choose) after her injury, and Sujin's forehead looked worse than it did the day after she crashed into the pharmacy door!

I am so enjoying this drama. It’s the most fun in a while. I so like Seonpung and Eunji together.

….and alternately hitting her husband and daughter while she continues her tirade… That was so funny to me. The topper was when she tells Seongpung “If you want to take someone, take my husband.” “I can live without him, but not my daughter.”

This whole drama/comedy is just so well done. …The two brothers berating Seonpung…. I could go on and on. At least IMHO I think it’s great so far.

I’m still unsettled about Eunjeoung. It seems she was just used. And I still don’t quite get the (current) connection with her and the two husbands.

well, looks like they’re going to shift to the Jinpung/Sujin storyline, since SP & EJ are about a done deal. It should be just as good (I hope).

Been out of touch for the last week as too many objects on my desk and hit the "spam" button by mistake, but its fixed now. No boring moments or frustrations with this drama. So far I like this one the best.
