K-Drama: 찬란한 유산 (Brilliant Legacy)

Junse, I think has a crush on Eun Sung. He is just always there to help out.
Hwan is such a spoiled one, he needs a character make over I think. And His Mom and sister are just not helping by siding with him and not correcting his bad behavior.

Eun Sung's stepmom I have a bad feeling about her. I think she is evil one in this storyline. I hope Eun-woo will be okay though.

I love this show already. I wish it were on for two days.

Agree -- this is good drama.

Stage is set now for all intrigue as indicated in synopsis . . . "Jang Sook-ja makes up her mind to appoint Eun-seong as the heir of her food company and brings her home..."

Thank goodness! Hope it doesn't take too long for all that to get underway, cuz the grandson and his mom/sister should all be thrown to the curb. Hope grandmother remembers every awful thing they said about her as they discussed her dying and what they'd do with her money. It'll be satisfying to watch grandson grovel for the money he once threw at people as he stepped all over them. Aja, aja grandmother!!! Oh, grandmother, could you also buy a piano for ES's bro.?

Wonder how many episodes this will run. Maybe when Temptation is over, they'll switch this to Sat, Sun.

The only good thing about Evil Step-Mom dumping Eun-woo is that she left him at the gate of an orphanage. The other critical detail is that she went to a place she was familiar with—her rural hometown far from Seoul. At least Eun-woo will be taken care of by decent people. And when it's payback time for ESM, there is an eyewitness who recognized her that night—they probably grew up together. Driving away with her car head lights off is also a dead givaway that she was up to no-good. Sooner or later, someone will come along and put 2+2 together.

I'm really enjoying the 'good guy' Jun-se, played by Bae Soo Bin, the restaurateur who is rescuing Eun-sung from her bleak situation. So nice seeing him in a contemporary role, after his hermaphrodite character (Sayong) in Jumong.

This is kind of an outlandish story, but with such an outstanding cast I'm finding it holding my attention.

K-Drama: 찬란한 유산 (Brilliant Legacy)

I've finished this drama and highly recommend it. It's sweet, funny and extremely HEARTwarming.

If you do not mind spoilers, I've recapped it up to Ep 22: http://www.thundie.wordpress.com

Love Bae Soo-bin in this, but grew to really love Lee Seung-gi's character as he changes.

I've seen this up to episode 20, here on the east coast. I hate the evil stepmother and you will too. This actress is topnotch and gets better with time. You're going to love to hate her. She's better than most and her role is pretty complex.

Good drama. Worth watching. Lee Seung Ki is good in this, surprising me. Of course there's Bae Soo Bin too, who's extremely handsome. There's no down side to this.

Enjoy!

Nchristi, Junse was Sayong in Jumong? so that was why he looked so familiar! Must admit this role fits him too.

I think the whole drama will run up to 28 episodes. So we still have a long way to go. And really wish that when Lure of Wife finished BL will take over that slot. One episode a week leaves me wanting....

Thanks for the info, nchristi...I thought the Step mom had left Eun-woo in the middle of nowhere, not in front of an orphanage. At least, she's not totally evil emoticon

Re: K-Drama: 찬란한 유산 (Shining Inheritance / Brilliant Legacy)

Yes, Eun-woo was left at an orphanage. There was a sign in Korean outside the gate. The translation on the screen was something like "Home of Angels." I might have seen this in a fan-subbed version, as the network e-subs rarely seem to translate signs, titles of important documents and things like that. Then, too, we did see an elderly woman come out the next morning, finding Eun-woo huddled on the step and you could tell she was a warm, caring sort of person.

I presume this is why Evil Step-mom took Eun-woo to her hometown. As cold and cruel as she is, she still wanted to leave EW in a decent place where he would be cared for—a place she was familiar with. I would be dying a thousand deaths thinking he was just dumped somewhere out on a lonely dark road! Thank goodness we have a little peace of mind over his plight.

And I must say again, that the young man playing Eun-woo is just superb. He's done a lot of prep for this role and has nailed it. In thinking back to other young actors, there have been a lot of good performances but I think this might be the finest I've seen to date from someone so young. Besides that, he looks so darn sweet and lovable. I just want to grab him and hold him tight! LOL!

Like the chemistry between Eun-song & Grandmother...the part where she told Grandma that she regreted taking her in, was intense & emotional emoticon

Can't understand what Seung-mi sees in that punk, Hwan...what a miserable person emoticon Was really hoping that Eun-song's dad would notice the missing person flyer of Eun-woo at the food truck but guess it's too early in the drama for that.

Can't wait to see the reaction on Hwan's face when he sees Eun-song at his Grandmother's house...not to mention, how close they are emoticon

Loving this drama, more & more!!

Re: K-Drama: 찬란한 유산 (Shining Inheritance / Brilliant Legacy)

I recall woman who saw boy sitting by orphanage gate saying she wondered what he was doing there since it was closed . . . so did person who found him next morning take care of him? Would she know him from earlier days? Did she feed him and try to get help, or did she send him on his way?

Also, because he has excellent memorization skills, he could probably find his way out of there since he appeared to be noting every detail on bldgs, etc., as he was being driven there by evil stepmom. Stepmom can change all the phone numbers and addresses she pleases, however, he can read off her license plate to police.
