Episode 15 (Sun)
Seungmi tells the whopper of whoppers to Hwan! She admits to him that Eun-sung is her step-sister but turns the story around to make herself and her mother look innocent and Eun-sung as the guilty one. Basically, everything is a scheme by Eun-sung to get as much money as she can, wherever she can. It is Eun-sung who received money from ESM and left with Eun-woo, leaving ESM alone to face the creditors. It is Eun-sung who lost both all the money and Eun-woo. Seungmi tells Hwan to keep this info to himself and not tell anyone else.
Now Hwan is confused, remembering bits and pieces of conversations he's heard from Eun-sung... and it all fits together with Seungmi's story in his mind.
Junse tells Eun-sung about Hwan's backstory. When Hwan was seven, he witnessed his father's death in an accident, was so traumatized by it that he couldn't speak for three months. After that, Hwan said he couldn't remember what happened to his father, so nobody in the family knows the real details of how the father died.
Later that night at home, Hwan is too hurt by Seungmi's 'revelation' that Eun-sung is totally no good. He can't see her, and when he does he can't speak to her and leaves her presence.
Meanwhile, Seungmi is alone in her bedroom, discovers the red accessory Hwan had left in her purse. She trembles so much (guilty conscience at what she's done to him) that she cannot thread the accessory onto her cellphone. In comes ESM, in a happy mood, announcing to SM that Mr. Park (Junse's dad, the lawyer) has told her that the law provides legal recourse for Hwan to get back his inheritance regardless of Granny's new will.
ESM's 'happy' bubble is quickly burst as Seungmi tells her Hwan saw the family photo in the bag! ESM, in a panic wants to know what SM told him. SM says she told him just what she (ESM) would say and that she doesn't want to say it all again (too shameful, I guess). Next, ESM is worried about Granny matchmaking Hwan with Eun-sung. SM says she doesn't have to worry, Eun-sung is already dating someone... Junse, the son of Lawyer Park. ESM puts 2+2 together, realizing Jung has her sights on Junse. A problem, plus it seems rather obvious to me that ESM definitely has her claws sharpened to marry Lawyer Park so she can be financially set. (She just gave him a personal gift of clothing in a private dinner they had in a fancy restaurant. A 'thank you' gift for his help in giving her the manager job at the furniture store.
ESM returns to her room. An ominious scene as she thinks about Eun-sung. ESM says to herself that only "one of us can live—if you are not the one who dies, then I am."
ESM meets with Jung's mom and tells her to get a move on in marrying off Jung to Junse before he meets someone else. J-mom meets with Lawyer Park and they both agree to go ahead immediately with the marriage.
Seungmi, pretending to be Eun-sung, sends another email to her step-dad, saying she feels uncomfortable hearing from him even by e-mail. If he should reappear, it would be too devastating to 'her' and to Eun-woo.
J-mom visits Junse at the restaurant to talk about him marrying Jung. She makes it sound like it is Granny's request, that she will be able to be at peace when she's gone if Junse is 'taking care of' Jung. Junse replies that Jung is "just my little sister." J-mom says it can grow after they get married. Junse finally tells J-mom that he must refuse, "I have someone that I like already." J-mom is devastated, returns home and has to tell Jung the bad news. J-mom calls Lawyer Park, who is shocked to hear his son has someone else he wants to marry. Jung is angry, thinking Junse is lying, that he just said that because he doesn't want to get married yet—to anyone. Jung rushes out to confront Junse herself.
At the same time, Junse is taking Eun-sung to his place. He wants her to cook her steak bibimbap for him so he can learn the dish and add it to his restaurant menu. Hwan sees Junse driving away with Eun-sung in his car, and Jung hears from JS's roommate that he went home (Junse told his roommate not to dare come home until after 9p). Jung follows in a cab and sees Junse taking Eun-sung into his apartment building. Heartbroken, Jung returns home.
Hwan arrives home to his mother and sister upset over Eun-sung 'ruining our home.' Hwan, Granny, and even Mr. Pyo are all upset over Junse and Eun-sung having a relationship where Eun-sung freely goes into his apartment.
Junse and Eun-sung have a pleasant meal together and go strolling in the evening. (Back at Granny's, Hwan is outside fuming about the thought of Eun-sung with Junse.) Their walk (and the episode) ends with Junse telling her, "I don't want to be your Oppa any longer. I want to be your man."

lox07...You know how this story will end since most of these stories are fairly predictable. Also, what is predictable is how the writers develop a character who is nice and decent and turn them into a nasty, self-serving person just as they are doing Seung-mi. I find this trend very disheartening. People don't change that quickly or easily.

LOVE the drama but:
-HATE the thought of Eun-sung ending up with Hwan  He's a pompous, selfish jerk who looks down on everybody and, besides, he has Seung-mi...who's very pretty & more compatible with him. I do think that Joon-sae & Eun-sung have great chemistry, too.
-Can't understand why Eun-sung's dad keeps going to that witch of a wife? Doesn't he realize, by now, how she's scheming to keep him away from his daughter? She is really something....trying everything to keep a father & his daughter apart, at ALL costs. Hoping she gets hers in the end.
-Kind of wish the writers would decide on Seung-mi  Either, make her a total b**** or a genuine person but getting tired of her wishy-washy ways.
Man, I was hoping that Eun-sung would turn her head a bit more & see her dad

OK, guys, I love watching the fashions on the shows in Korea, the latest being the long scarves worn by Junse and Hwan, but what is with the little old lady tied at the shoulder scarf worn by Hwan last night!!! How could he wear that with a straight face??? It looks like something ESM would wear!!!
