KHIZ Chinese-language programming (2009)
For those of you who missed [徽州女人] Women of Huizhou when it aired on KSCI/LA18 last month, this drama is still playing on KHIZ at 8pm (I will confirm this time). I get this channel on my cable. I don't know how many of you have access to this channel. But please feel free to update this thread so others who have access to this channel can enjoy additional Chinese-language dramas on channels other than KSCI/LA18.

Re: KHIZ Chinese-language programming (2009)
Merala.
would you comment, if you have time, on the Chinese comedies which appear on the cable channels. I have watched a few even tho I can't understand Chinese or Mandarin. It seems that broad comedy is easier to understand than sheer drama. Last night I stayed up much too late watching a marvellous drama which seemed to me to be almost a version of 'The Monkey King'.
The cast..One group was three men and one woman. Three of them trying to avoid the third man. He was very strange looking and was filthy dirty and in very ragged clothes. One black sneaker and one white one. The object they were all trying to obtain was a small handheld figure. Looked like frosted glass in pale gold almost with a light inside. It seemed to have magical powers for itself and for anyone who had possession. I watched for over an hour so I imagine it must be more than one episode. Have no idea of the actors and no idea of the title.
I would love to see what this is all about and I long for Chinese dramas which have English subs or even a translation of the story.
Peggy

The comedy section is the first red heading of this page. Can you click on every show under the first red heading and see if you find the comedy show you saw on CCTV?

Re: KHIZ Chinese-language programming (2009)
re the above post. I tried this and I just came back to this page again.
I will keep looking now and then to see if I can trace anything however.
Chinese dramas really are so interesting to look at and I would dearly love to find English subs. There are some modern tales that are playing at the moment which look interesting.
Peg
The 'Magic phone comedy(?) was on last Thursday and Friday and started around 11.30pm and went on for at least an hour or maybe more. I was so tired I did not look at the clock and crawled into bed...

KHIZ Chinese-language programming (2009)
You need to click on the black letterings underneath the red heading. The red heading says Comedy and all the black letterings underneath are the different comedies.

Re: KHIZ Chinese-language programming (2009)
Merela,
sorry I must be empty headed because I cannot follow this at all. My I.E keeps yelling it cannot reach these pages etc. and then I have to go back. I have tried but don't get anything that resembles what you are instructing me to do.
I will try searching some more. I can't be that dumb...or can I ????
