C-drama: KSCI/LA18 noon drama《叫一聲媽媽》 Call Out Mom (9/29/09 - 10/30/09)
This 28-episode Chinese drama replaces the Taiwanese drama 8 oz Gold today.
This is a story about a woman who gave birth to a girl soon after her husband passed away. Then by chance, she adopted another girl. The adopted daughter found out about her adoption at age 14, but her mom insisted that she was not adopted. So the adopted daughter became rebellious and was always creating trouble for the birth daughter of her adopted mom. So this drama deals with 2 generations of women, threading Good mother/Bad mother, Good daughter/bad daughter, and Good woman/bad woman themes throughout the storyline.

The drama's title is misleading. The mother barely made an appearance in most episodes following the first several ones. The story revolved around the ***** sister.

I agree with you, yakukid. This drama is terrible. It has mis-casting, exaggerated and/or terrible acting, and unbelievable plot. I stopped watching after the first episode. LA18 should really think before they program these Chinese dramas. With only 2 hours or so Chinese drama programming, they should really select worthwhile watching dramas.
