How the hell did I miss Inuyasha!! Inuyasha is also a favorite of mine, sadly, I've been looking for the Japanese version to buy cheap for a while now.

Re: Favorite Anime?

Guess you guys started the Anime Forum without me, huh? Oh well, I'll just try to catch up. I don't really have a favorite anime, but here's what I've watched and found to be good:

Card Captor Sakura
The Vision of Escaflowne
Shaman King
Yu-gi-oh!
One Piece
Scrapped Princess
Love Hina (+ movies)
Love Hina Again
FLCL (Fooly Cooly)
Cowboy Bebop
and many more whose titles I can't remember.

By the way, has anybody seen the dotHack anime series before? I heard it sucked so I didn't bother watching it at all. If anyone's watched it, could you give me your input to maybe sway my opinion? Thanks.

Re: Favorite Anime?

suigeneris, you liked Jin-roh too? That has to be my favorite anime movie of all time. No matter how many times I watch it, I never get bored. Instead I just find out new things that I hadn't really noticed any of the previous times.

I thought Ninja Scroll was pretty good, but it just didn't seem to me like a movie you'd watch over and over again. Have you seen the sequel, Ninja Resurrection? That is a terrible movie in that it doesn't really follow up Jubei's story and there's a lot of things that don't make sense. For instance, in Scroll, Jubei has both his eyes, but that's not the case in Resurrection. Either his father or master (I forget which) threw a knife into his eye while they were training, but there was no mention of that in Scroll, it just randomly appeared in Resurrection.

I think another great movie is Princess Mononoke. The music is great and so is the storyline. Some of the voice acting is bad, but meh, that happens in almost all anime series or movies that are dubbed in English. I think the only exception to that rule is Cowboy Bebop.

Cowboy Bebop: great voice acting.

I also really liked Rockman.EXE. The American version (titled MEGAMAN) ignores the character development (like they do in Pokemon) and concentrates on the battles, but the Japanese version nicely ties the two together.

Re: Favorite Anime?

ccwf, is .Hack//SLASH a series worth watching at least once? I've yet to play the games, which are on my To Do List, but Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine were all said to be great. Then again, I've also heard the anime is nothing in comparison to the games, so...

Re: Favorite Anime?

Mind if I answer? Usually anime and the games are never comparable. They share the basic plot, but in events they are different. Usually one is better than the other.

I do have to say that I would watch it and see if I like it. Give it a try.

Re: Favorite Anime?

I'd actually prefer ccwf to answer since my question is based on whether or not .Hack//SLASH is good on its own or not.

No need to apologize, I think you just didn't read my original questions and you posted unknowingly.
