Well I just now have finished watching the finale now for the third time, this time on my scratch tape that I recorded from the 4 a.m. airing. This one was on the timer and I wasn't up to edit ouT the add-breaks, so I see that the air time was about 29min. in the time slot for its airing last night.
Even now I start to tear-up watching the finale, I guess in the end the story still gets to me.....gees why can't more stories that touching be made of even live-action without the usual poorly laied-our story telling. I saw better writing here then a years worth of the usual sob-story tear-jerkers.
Yeah they (ANN) have a follow-up story about S-F ch and even more letters already over the GitS:SSS movie. Cool. One the letter-writers reminded us that it's been 17 years since SF left anime off its air. Like I say I'd grind their reps at the World-cons....you should have seen me at the panels for the SF ch they would have question time, and I'd always grind them about anime....and don't let me catch one at one them at the parties later.
But you're right this news is something to look foward to because also it might be awhile before AS will be starting any new anime for Saturday night ....remember the last new anime that they started in their weekday slot.....I think it was when tney started GitS in a weekly weekday slot few years ago.

I agree with you, the finale of E7 was incredibly poignant. I've watched the ending 5 times myself and I have a feeling I'll be watching it more again. 
I can not get tired of it, when the themes for Sakura and Rainbow start to play in the final episode, everything just begins to soar.
This may actually be my favorite ending I have seen in an anime. (I've finished well over a hundred) It just had everything I like in an ending.
A superb series that had it all for me, few series have this kind of huge storyline, huge character cast, awesome production, great battle sequences, but still having a lot of comedy, romance and fantasy. It was a series that also made you think with its religious themes.
I do not think I will ever see an anime this diverse and multi-dimensional again.

Eureka Seven alert!! This Sat night at 4:30am episode one ( Blue Monday ) will air during the B K have it your way special night.....where a fan has all of their favorite anime/adult swim episodes will be shown all night-long. This also means that all the regular anime episodes will not been seen in there regular slots ( Damn no Astro-boy tonight! ).

YEAAAH Starting the morning of Dec 3rd @ 1:30a.m. E-7 returns to Adult Swim!!, I guess the replay is at 4:30 a.m.. It'll air 5-days a week but at 3 weeks in for chirstmas week theres a full week of Astro Boys listed I hope the shedule is clearer by then
