Excuse the whining,please....

I had the phlebitis since the 5th, thought it was better, then it got worse so I spent a day and night in hospital with a blood clot, now I am home taking heparin shots until the coumadin pills kick in. I feel crappy and sommat grouchy so I am taking the option to inflict my little story on you. So there. Nyah. Could have been much worse and it hasn't so I am grateful for that but but just needed my time to whinge. Thanks. *bows, winces, limps off stage left* emoticon

Sounds awful.. emoticon and scary.. (blood clots)

I hope you feel better soon..

And now at least I know what phlebitis is..

Re: Excuse the whining,please....

Thanks for the good wishes. I waited much too long to get proper therapy because of health insurance problems, but thankfully I am getting what I need now. The article was good basic info but neglected to mention how autoimmune disease can predispose one to clotting disorders. Lupus/MCTD caused vasculitis which when combined with blood disorder that promotes blood clots, well you get the picture. Two more heparin shots to go then warfarin pills probably for the rest of my life.
Anyway, thanks again. I am feeling better now, even my mood!
