Goodbye Mr. Baby
My sweet little friend couldn't stay any longer. I thank you all for the kind thoughts and wishes, and he would have given you all a nuzzle and purrs at your touch. He stayed sweet and gentle to the end, never harming his caregivers and trying so hard to live. It was not to be. His body was damaged and could not be healed so we gently took him from this world and showed him the door to the next...we miss him so much. We always will.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Patricia. It's always heartbreaking when you lose such a special friend, but you've done the right thing. He was loved up until the end, and he'll have known it. The fact he stayed sweet and gentle to the end shows that even though his body may have been failing, he still felt safe, trusting and happy.

It's so sad.. words can't begin to describe the loss you feel losing a pet you've had for so long.
But it was time for him to go and you didn't wait and have him suffer needlessly.
He lead the life of a cat of means.. He spent his entire long life being loved and cared for..
And he lived a longer, healthier life than just about any other cat I've ever heard of.
What cat could ask for more?
And you were there with him when he left..

Oh Patricia I am so sorry about Mr Baby. Just think though he is with his other friends at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for you when you are ready to join him and all of your other furry friends.

Yep. I do believe in the afterlife. No clue what it is, but I am sure we are aware and active in some manner. Too many things in my life and what I have heard from others allows me this as a truth. If we mere humans can experience an afterlife, our animals deserve it just as much and sometimes more. They teach us so much in this life if only we learn to listen. Even if one chooses not to believe.
This group of friends has all lost good little friends. It is so good to be able to share this loss with those who understand. To have others who help one with the pain. To look forward to the next as yet unknown little friends to come along. To remember the good times with the ones no longer here. Thank you all.

Patricia, I'm very sorry to hear the news about Mr Baby. I hope that you are comforted by thinking of all the good memories you have of your cat and what a strong bond you both shared - and still share.
