He's a handsome looking dog. You can see he had a lot of character from those photos.

Jimmy looks like a sweetie. He certainly knew how to pose for the camera. Are all four of those others

the same breed? I love the spotty boy, 3rd on right. And the guy left of him looks positively impish!

There's something about that last photo that I really like, but I can't qutie put my finger on it... He looks like he's got attitude, anyway!

Here's a doggy painting:

A watercolour painting of my cousin's dog ~ my aunt commissioned me to do it for his birthday (this Thursday). I'm hoping he likes it as much as she does!

Beautiful..
I like the subtle changes in the different shades of browns and blacks.
That couldn't have been too easy to achieve..
The closeup looks so realistic..

Re: Dog Pics & Vids

Thanks!

'Black' is a really hard coat colour to try to paint. I used different shades of blue and purple with some very careful use of black to build the coat up. The brown tones were much easier! I found my watercolour pencils indispensable for getting the final details - much easier to control exactly where the colour's going and then addint the water to blend it in afterwards.

My aunt commissioned me to do this for my cousin's birthday. I took it up to them today and smuggled it into the house without the birthday boy seeing it. My aunt mentioned that he doesn't like speaking to people (to quote his sister - he can be quite 'antisocial') and after leaving the room, she came back in, laughing. He'd seen me in the house and had said to her "Seeing as Louise is up, can you ask her if she'll do a painting of Titch?" She asked him why he didn't ask me himself, and got the response: "no, can you ask her?" My aunt told him she thought I was busy with exams just now but she would ask anyway. I wish I could be there to see his face when he gets this tomorrow morning!
