Jet crashes into the Hudson River.. Everyone seems to have escaped alive.

Around 3:20PM EST..
Airbus A-320 takes off from La Guardia airpot in New York..
Gets to about 3200 feet, then apparently, a double bird strike (Two birds hitting the 2 engines)
The pilot loses all power and safely crash lands in the Hudson River.
By all accounts no one died..

Before any help had arrived on scene.
Must've been very shortly after hitting the water..

Ferries race to the rescue..

More ferries. a chopper.. looks like a police or fireboat racing to the scene.

Those people are so fortunate. I heard an interview with a young doctor on the plane who had just gotten his residency appointment. This kind of experience colors your entire future, hopefully in a positive way.
