Parrots are fantstic!
There were three macaws at the bird of prey centre I did a few placements at. Basil came from a family where the couple didn't get on very well, and he used to swear loudly when being ignored. The manager used to tell him to stop it, and it wasn't long before Coco picked up on this. The manager found it awkward when she was on the phone and in the background, it sounded like a man swearing and cursing, and a woman (Coco imitated the manager's voice rather well) saying "Stop it, Basil, Stop it!!" It sounded like an unhappily married couple bickering in the background.
Basil also liked to chase the Rotweiler Diesel (and by chase, I mean casually amble over across the floor). Diesel was terrified and would run away ~ it was funny to watch!
Charlie was also good at mimicking the owner's voice. He realised that the manager came running when the owner shouted her name, so Charlie started shouting her name... It was only after she'd ran inside a few times that she eventually realised it was the parrot that was shouting on her.

Hilarious situations, Tanzy!
Reminds me of "Fawlty Towers" episodes where Basil Fawlty's wife was always screeching at him "stop it Stop it Stop it!!!"
