Would be completely illegal in Toronto of course..
I have it on good authority that up until the early 1980s, it was completely illegal to move from one table to another in a bar or restaurant with a drink in your hand here.
Apparently, you had to ask a barman or waiter to pick up your glass of beer or drink and take it to another table.
Or, if you were at the bar, the barman had to carry your drink to a table.
This was legal in Ontario until the early 1980s..
I'm not making this up...
