 New Toshiba Laptop!
I bought a Toshiba Laptop because the deal was too good to pass up AND I got a very nice tax refund this year. The model is Satellite M305-S49052. She has 4G of RAM and is expandable to 8G! Also has a very nice hard drive at 320GB. Anyway if you want to see her just go to RadioShack.com and plug in 250-0994 in the search and she pops right up.
So anyway Len I have a question once I get FireFox installed how do I get all 485 bookmarks migrated over as well? I really don't want to have to do them all individually I just don't have the time! Oh and I also received free Ca Internet Security Suite Plus with this for free. I have been using Ca for a year now on my Gateway and it is a really good anti-virus plus other stuff program. I am having a bit of trouble installing it on my Toshiba though. The Toshiba MORE than meets the system requirements but the program keeps saying it doesn't! Oh and the Toshiba is a 64bit machine my Gateway is only a 32bit. The Ca installed on the Gateway just fine. I can install this program on up to five computers. So any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. :hyper:

Congratulation to your new PC Kate!
I would recomend to put all your firefox bokkmarks on a memorystic. So you can simply copy and pas it to your new PC.

Install the Firefox Extension FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) on both computers..
Use it to backup your bookmarks and browser settings on the old PC .. Back them up to a thumbdrive/memorystick like Claudia said)
Then use the FEBE extension on the new PC to import the bookmarks from the memorystick and Firefox will be identical on your new PC as it was on your old PC.
Same settings, same extensions etc..

The thread right below this one is all about the FEBE firefox extension..
If your old PC has Firefox 2 instead of Firefox 3, then use this older version of FEBE.

But still use the new version (Version 6) if your new PC has Firefox 3 on it.

Thanks Len I have tried FEBE before but it stopped working,I'll install it again and see if it works. Picking up a new 2GB USB stick today we have them on sale for $10.99 and I get an additional 10% off that so not too bad.

You can use a cd too.. Instead of a mem stick.

Yup.. and you can just make folders to keep everything in some sort of order..
I love thumb drives.
I must have 20 of them now..

Very nice Kate! Good to hear from you, too. It helps to be in the business, I bet. I am lokingat those little "net-surfer" models, just for that and watching movies. It's on my wish list.... :smug1:

We had a customer return one of those "net surfers" yesterday. She said it strained her eyes too much trying to see everything on that tiny screen! She bought a Sony Vaio instead.
