Create an instant System Restore Point in Windows Vista and XP with simple VBS script.
Very handy thing. No need to open Windows System Restore Utility and then manually create a restore point.
Or just hope that Windows automatically has created a recovery restore point when you make changes to your system.
Use it to create a system restore point before installing or uninstalling software or hardware.
Before running an anti-virus scan, editing the windows registry or any other tweaking or fiddling that can potentially screw up Windows.
Just make a folder in your C drive (or whatever letter your operating system is located on.. usually it's C) and call it _System Restore VBS (or something similar) download the little VBS script.
And all you do is click the VBS script file .. it will then create a system restore point that you can give a name to.. or the default name 'Manual Restore Point'.
