I much prefer Kate Duchene, but that being said I actually liked Caroline O'Neill. Obviously it's impossible to try and replace Kate but I thought she did a good job, even though the two HBs are different characters.

Great thread  I've only seen a little of the new WW series, so I can't really compare HBs. One of my favourite aspects of the older TV series, though, is the staffroom banter between Cackle, Drill, Bat, and HB. They are extremely well realised characters. I can see, from the point Miss Cat made, how the teachers could be made to look too silly if the most (in)famous pupil in the school is a wildchild rather than hapless.
