Re: Simple Business Ideas
You may have seen these fulcrum type briquette presses for developing countries used to prevent deforestation. Would be suitable for home use and cooking.
Large PDF file!

Re: Simple Business Ideas
Nice ideas Ken.
The rising price of imports coupled with Japan's low self-sufficiency rate equals many opportunities for small start-ups that are geared towards localized food production.
Ken, are you still planning to start the jam business? I think that would do well if you could source your berries locally.
I recently bought a ketchup locally produced in Gifu which was great, no additives and in a glass bottle.

Hiya Jonathan9,
Ai, localized food production, distribution and consumption.
Thanks. Yeah, the wife and I have been Jammin', but not sellin'.
In regards to selling, our initial idea was to recieve a bit of help getting our (Jam in the stall) over at the JA morning market from me wifes mother, who, until recently, headed up the market. She has since abandoned her post at the JA and we've decided not to (set up stall) there as well.
Selling somewhere else in the future is something we look forward to.
That ketchup you speak of sounds delicious.
