Hey, we are heading roughly your way in October. Now I'm not sure what space I'll have in the suitcase, but.... :-) We are planning to travel light and stock up with clothes to bring back, so you never know. What have you got your sights on exactly?

Thanks again for the offer Gecko, but I bought a WindBlue 540 PMA!!!!

http://www.windbluepower.com/Permanent_Magnet_Alternator_Wind_Blue_Low_Wind_p/dc-540.htm

Shipped it from USA to here, just waiting for it to come. It is wild 3 phase so can run AC lights direct, or convert to DC to charge battery bank.

Now I have to clean up my fields and get some pipline material. Want to make a "Bucket Hydro " type setup.

Here's the same NZ unit, but the price has miraculously tripled!

Anyway I went with the WindBlue 540 because hopefully, it won't need any bearing replacements in the future. The NZ unit seems to have a lifespan of 3 years and then a rebuild is required.
