Small DIY Pojects

Thought a good topic would be DIY projects.

Here are a few small ones I did:

Bamboo Tree Border: Free bamboo, old tire, old carpet, dirt, rocks I already had from another project, 100yen in screws, and clear coat spray paint
Image

Next Years Flower Box: wood from a few years ago, dirt, steel l-brackets, screws
Image

Wood/Rock Border: wood from a few years ago, rock from an old project, old carpet
Image

Driftwood/SeaShell Craft: driftwood and seashells from the beach, clearcoat paint, glue
Image

Heater Enclosure: wood from Homac (expensive!), L-brackets, screws, anchor screws
Image

Simple but fun!

Here is a rough bench made out of wood and rope I found on the beach. Used an electric chainsaw, worked pretty good.

Hey TomT,

Nice work ! Does that skewer looking black rod stick in the ground under the bench ? Talk about anchor.

HA! With the wind around here sometimes I feel I should have anchors on everything.

It's a wrecking bar, used it to dislodge the wood where the "feet" were going. I like to call it the "equalizer", the bar plus me equals about 3 guys emoticon... another useful item.
