Thanks for the set list. It seems that you enjoyed the gig and had a perfect seat and view on the stage action, don´t you?

Re: Jon Lord in Siegen (Germany)
You touch a sensitive nerve here, Stranger .
Yes, I enjoyed the concert a lot but our seats have been very lousy. When I looked straight ahead I could see a black curtain. Never knew that tribune is at ground level. The tickets have been the most expensive ones I thought but probably were the most expensive of what was left. Woke up with pain in my neck cause JL and DE was placed in the left corner.
The sound was a catatroph in the first half. Fortunately we met a nice guy who told us in the break that there are free seats in front of him. We changed and the second half was much better!
Still dreaming to listen to such a concert in a real concert hall.

I was told places such as Odense (among others) may have a convenient concert hall. No need to dream of but organize a similar show with JL in an suitable ambience for classical/orchestral influenced music. How about that?

Re: Jon Lord in Siegen (Germany)
Dawn, we missed each other again !! I was there, right in front of Jon, not first row but not too far, and from where I was the sound was great.
A needless to say the performance was really really (I mean, really !!) good !

Yeah, Odense koncert hus has a nice sound and Paul Mann is (was, don't know how it is yet) condoctor there . You see my humble self isn't needed for organisation.
And who knows it might be done already.

Re: Jon Lord in Siegen (Germany)
@Apollo
Am not sure if you're talking to me but indeed we visited often the same concerts without meeting each other. UJR, Cornerstone, JL are coming to mind.
And thanks for the offer. You're always generous with this things!
This time I heard your "poem" already. It's a good quality.

I think I read that his contract ended in 2008 but I might be wrong.

Re: Jon Lord in Siegen (Germany)
Indeed it did, David. I was there for three years, and the orchestra cordially hated my guts, so I bowed out gracefully. Well, reasonably gracefully.
But the Odense Koncerthus would be a great place for Jon to do one of his shows - indeed we tried to get something like that together at the time we recorded "Boom" but for various reasons it didn't work out.
cheers
