If Bolin and Hughes were fired, maybe Purple could have hired some guy named Neil Murray on bass, instead of one guitarist, they could have added two. Maybe have gotten Bernie Marsden. And add a British guitarist who dressed like a country and western star named Mick Moody.

That would have been a great lineup.

 David Coverdale, vocals; Jon Lord,
keyboards; Bernie Marsden, guitar; Mickey Moody, guitar; Neil Murray, bass guitar & Ian Paice, drums

Roger would probably have been asked to return, and maybe Bernie Marsden. Or how about a Glover, Gillan, Marsden, Lord, Paice line-up, THAT would have been great!
