Burn and Stormbriger are not blues songs.
Mistreated is.
Yes, lyrically. Musically, I don't really think so!
It's a blues jam of monstrous proportions.
Fair enough! It's just that having listened to blues since a teenager I don't see or hear a real similarity (apart form the lyrics).
Perhaps it's a bluesy song? Just like Gary Moore's 'blues' stuff, which of course stemmed from Fleetwood Mac's 1960s output.

Wow. After hearing that When a blind man cries solo... how can anybody ever be dissapointed with Steve Morse. I´m stunned
Because he can't write songs or solos like that himself?
Morse has been in two big time rock bands from the 70's, he's wrote songs for both.

No matter how much I would like to see a MKII reunion for a few gigs next year to celebrate their 40th, the current line up is getting better and better by the hour (they have always been a good live band, but now they are even better...)! I haven't been the most supportive guy here one the forum for Steve Morse, but IMO he's improved in the last few years. Seems to me like he is trying to approach the songs with a more bluesfeel, and in classic hard rock that's the way to go!

Yes, Morse has turned down the distortion a bit and slowed down on the shredding. Lazy sound really good from this Zürich gig. BUT I wish they would listen to the original again and play the riff like it was on the record. They now play it the way Ritchie started to do in the 80s, and that means a lot of the details in it got lost and was changed for the "easy" way... It's really very different from the original.

I never said she was.
To be a blues singer one should have been born in the Mississippi delta around 1930 - travelled to Chicago and learnt songs about how your woman gone done you so wrong whilst secretly selling your soul to the very Devil himself!!
Kylie, on the other hand, is soft, fragrant, has a perfect bottom and needs protecting!!!
How do you get a ticket to a secret gig anyway?
If it's secret, how does anyone know?

Agree with you Eirik! Btw, are you going to the Steinkjer show 15th of August 2008? Steinkjer Rock Festival of all things...

Or is it all that secret that you're not allowed to speak about it?

Or one should just drink too much whisky at the Karaoke bar after being left by his girlfriend...
