 MKII Reunion for the 40th anniversary in 2009, yes or no
Anyone still hoping for a few MKII 40th anniversary shows during 2009?
Speaking for myself, I don't see it happening and I don't "feel the need for it". Keep things as they are. Why fix it if it ain't broken?

There's no point, not even in theory.
I'd much rather see something based on Mk3. It's 35 years since Burn and Stormbringer.
Of course getting in Paicey would be difficult. But Lars Ulrich might be an interesting replacement!

I don't see Palmer or just about any 'big name', being interested. Ulrich is a huge DP fan, that's why he'd come from a much bigger band to play with RB & the lot.
Think about the publicity side if Ulrich was there. Metallica is still one of the biggest bands in the world.

He's still not good enough though!
Chad Smith would bring similar publicity, is a much better drummer than Lars, and seems to be an equally big DP fan.
