RB reaction to recent biography....
anyone aware of any comments he has made regarding 'the black knight'?
My guess he will be less than pleased with this all too accurate and excellent book

"Black Knight - the Unauthorized Biography of Ritchie Blackmore" by Jerry Bloom is the title, CP.
I'd imagine that Amazon or similarservices would be able to accomodate an order, or as an alternative, I'm certain that you could order it via the Deep Purple Appreciation Society.

I'm not aware of any feedback from Blackmore regarding the book, SK - however, that doesn't mean that there hasn't been any.
You're probably correct in that Blackmore will (or maybe was) less than pleased with the book - but, for a bit of that unpleasedness he can hold himself accountable...Blackmore's the one who usually refuses to contribute any input to such efforts, be they bios/stories/tomes/whatevers regarding his career and stints in Deep Purple & Rainbow, preferring to only want to discuss the last decade of his professional career and thus, Blackmore'sNight - which is fine, if that's how he wants to be. I guess as long as he doesn't begin issuing statements denigrating the book just for denigration's sake, then that'll be fine...if Blackmore prefers not to comment on the book at all, that'll be fine, too.
Bottom line to me is this - seeing as Blackmore didn't wish to make any contributions to the book, I won't be at all surprised if he never comments on it, which will be perfectly fine, too.

Nah, wasn't there one that got AOP signed by Blackmore? Or what was that story, anyway it would have made the book the authorizen unauthorized bio...quote:
