I'm not sure of it ever came up before, but "Highway Star" was also used in a very early episode of "That '70s Show" - from the first season, I believe. I just happened to catch it as I was going through some channels last night and happened to stop at a re-run of the show...I only mention about this 'coming up before' because I seem to remember a discussion about how no '70s era DP music seemed to make it into the show's 'soundtrack' (so to say)...so, just in case anyone was still wondering - yes, DP did get at least one 'nod' from "That '70s Show" ! emoticon

Though Led Zeppelin was definitly more prominent in T-Shirts and Episode Titles etc...

I don't think I've ever seen a Deep Purple T-Shirt from the 1970's.

Purple's management never had marketing down. If they did, I bet we’d see DP T-Shirts worn on that 70’s show; and hopefully Donna would be wearing it.

 emoticon

I think the most famous example would be a Slaves&Masters era T-Shirt in Wayne´s World(though I just can´t identificate the motive it´s definitly not the album cover) worn by the guy who always vomits(at his first appearance when they pick him up from the street and put him into the car, also in the famous "Bohemian Rhapsody" sequence).

In one episode of Northern Exposure the character Ed Chigliak has a Perfect Strangers shirt on. I remember freaking out when I saw that years ago. Not that this little tidbit enhances the conversation going on at all but I thought I'd throw it in.

Yeah, Slash has been seen with an 'In Rock' T-shirt which is good to see.
