I, slightly - but only slightly - dishonestly voted for the laughter option. I think Blur were a very good band and if they make (or have they already made?) new music I'm interested in hearing them. Otherwise, the old albums are enough for me.
A-ha? I didn't like them.
Of Kajagoogoo I only remember the name. A catchy name.
I leave it to the reunions of A-ha and Kajagoogoo to remind me just what songs they had!
Hmmmm, I wonder how many people went back in 1984: "What, Deep Purple? Whatever!"

The mid-1980's were a time when hard rock wasn't as big as it had been in the 1970's. In 1984 there was New Wave and synthie pop dominating the business, and hard rock acts like Whitesnake were rather going for massive use of hair spray than for musical innovation. So the DP reunion may have seemed strange for many people, possibly asking: "Deep Purple, NOW?" They didn't seem to "fit" in a business ruled by Michael Jackson and Prince. The most memorable thing, for me, about Kajagoogoo was that their bass player was pretty killer. Much different than other new wave acts in that department.

I really don't care about any of those bands, I think there were some much better stuff in the 80's.
