not a happy camper
Hi, howz it goin? I hope you are doing better than I right now.
Spent three days in a row at the hospital visiting my father in law from noon till 10 pm. Turns out the hospital closes its cafeteria on weekends (??!!) so I was living on donuts and coffee when I couldn't take any more yogurt. Yesterday was hubby's birthday; we hung out and planned to go to dinner, but his employees were quarreling with each other so we stopped by the shop where he worked for two hours while I waited in the car. YET ANOTHER storm blew in as we headed for dinner. I had lost my appetite from waiting for so long and didn't eat much.
I like a good thunderstorm but every day for five days?!! It gets tiring, and scares the dog so much she won't go out to pee. Today I awoke to still another thunder storm with pouring rain.
I looked forward to calling a Personal Care agency that a college friend told me about. Apparently they hired her even though she has no certificate and will be going back to school in the fall. She said they were willing to train her and she loved her job, plus is making $13. per hr. She suggested I call because "they are just screaming for more people". So I called and the call was very short. "We are looking for PSWs. Just PSWs" the woman said firmly.
Yesterday I got a call from one of the temp agencies I signed up with. They wanted me to work evenings for 2 weeks although I have it in my file that I'm looking for dayshift. They also wanted me right away -- well, it was my husband's birthday, and I thought I was a shoe-in at that PSW place after what Christa said...so I said no, I'm helping to look after an elderly relative and can't work evenings. Now I wish I'd said yes, but I can't start till tomorrow." It would have been $11.50 per hour, which is $11.50 per hour more than I'm making now.
Sure am tired of being made to feel useless. I have a lot of helpful experience and a good attitude. Two and half months and no luck job hunting!
Decided I would catch up on laundry today, but my flashy new dryer (well, less than 2 years old) has stopped working. I would love to be able to hang clothes outside until I can get it fixed, but that would only work if it was the washer that was broken! Is the sun ever coming back my way?
I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day but right now I'm feeling pretty grumpy. I think I may order pizza, put on my pj's and watch movied, even though its only 4 pm! I want this day over with.

HI!
Thanks - I did enjoy that pizza and movie -- I watched Stardust again, I think. It's been a while now and I'm not sure..
No fire though. It might have been too warm that day.
