Introduction of New Executive Board and Unit Rep Leaders
Hello everyone!
Since things have been *slowly* in the works since Ragnarok, I'm sure most, or nearly all, of you are familiar with a change in the structure of Eryndor.
In short, Eryndor is no longer ran by a "High Council," instead, it is ran by responsible administrators (Executive Board) and representatives from official units (The Unit Representative Council). It is the responsibility of these fine individuals to maintain Dagorhir and Eryndor in SE Mich/Northern Ohio for years and years to come. Its certainly an exciting time!
The first 'for real' meeting of these groups occurred on Saturday, January 26th. In a day or so, I'm sure you'll be seeing posts from various representatives about meeting minutes, new by-laws, changes, scheduling, etc.
However, I'd first like to introduce you all to the new leaders of Eryndor (well, at least for this year!).
The Executive Board will be comprised of annually-elected positions, voted upon by the unit reps. However, for this very first year, the majority suggested response from Eryndorrim was for the High Council to identify great candidates for the Executive board positions, and with their agreement of taking on such a burden, we appoint them to the position. I'm sure all of you will quickly recognize the caliber of this Executive Board team, and will be happy to know Eryndor is in their care. Further, these administrators will be on equal footing with the Unit Representative Council, also filled with a litany of great, diverse Eryndor minds who all have great ideas to make Eryndor thrive.
Members of the Executive Board are:
President - Torm the Mighty
Vice President - Adeus
Treasurer - Sidia
Coordinator - Haddix
Magistrate - Fairion
The Unit Reps at the first meeting (although these individuals may rotate, per decision of individual units) were:
Imperial Guard - Asashi
Legacy of the Lifetree - Mithris and Stonetred
Senegal's Finest - Sindaric and Marathos
Warband - Haldour and Larien
Details in terms of the by-laws and minutes from the meeting will be posted soon.
Personally, I'd just like to say that I was overwhelmed by the talent, care, and ability displayed by all members during this meeting -- I am so happy to watch Eryndor grow in the future under the care of people like this. And I know that these people are merely reflecting the universal ability and talent that is all of Eryndor -- I am *personally* very excited to be "just another guy" helping out in the greatest Dagorhir chapter I know.
