Post-Event Budget Report (details here)
For every Eryndor event, I'm mailing a budget report to the 'point' person of the event. They will receive this at least 1 week before the actual event. In most cases, this probably means a unit leader. There is a pre-paid, stamped envelope also included so that once the report is completed, it need simply be dropped in the mail so that I can process and publish it upon receipt. Asashi has already received this form and didn't seem to have any problems with completing it, so thank you Mr. Asashi / Guinea Pig.
The budget report serves four purposes:
(1) Consistency in event budget and spending reporting (both in the data I'm receiving, and in turn the data I'm reporting)
(2) A simple form that can be easily followed and accessed so just about anyone can easily keep their event budgeting on the up and up.
(3) Collecting information about event attendance, promotion, weather, and other variables so that (when aggregated over time), we'll be able to predict likely event attendance in the future (which makes budgeting and planning easier in the future)
(4) Systematically collecting good budgeting decisions and budgeting mistakes so that we become a learning organization and don't repeat our bad habits
The Report
